I was expecting the worst, especially on the day of everyone downloading. I played BGs for like 6 hours, it was awesome. The longest I sat in queue was 7 minutes, I left queue and reentered and got into a game almost immediately. All games were 4v4v4, some games would start one team with 3 but it would fill early in the match and didn't effect the result (I won several games joining late as the 4th player on a losing team early enough in the game to make a come back).
None of the games failed to start or find enough players. MMR was obviously reset, there were a lot more low CP players mixed in than I usually see. I know, CP doesn't count, but between alliance rank symbols and CP levels, you get an idea of overall experience a player has, and it's generally accurate with few exceptions.
My game updated by itself while I was at work. The new load screens and music are great. I honestly didn't notice anything different mechanically at all. Nothing felt different about blocking or stamina in general. I couldn't hit block if I was sprinting, but that isn't important to me, I just lifted my thumb off the joystick to stop running. I can adjust to dismounting without the block button (you can literally hit any other button).
I had zero lag, zero bar swap issues. While waiting in queue I was running around farming materials. I ran into an area where it was raining. There was a slight...blurriness to it, but it was 1000% less choppy during weather effects than I'm used to seeing. "Blurriness" is an overstatement, it was barely noticeable.
I did still get Snipe desynced a few times...but NBs need kills too I guess, even if they aren't legitimate kills
I didn't enter Cyrodiil. I was on a roll in BGs and it was suddenly 6 hours later. I didn't notice any change in load screen times which I'm fine with. I did notice it being a bit smoother after arriving to a wayshrine in a busy area like Grahtwood or Wayrest, less choppiness immediately after loading in.
Honestly, if BGs didn't say "solo queue deathmatch" instead of just "deathmatch", I wouldn't have even known there were any changes. I wasn't even thinking about "game performance" which means they must've done something right. Got up to 3rd place in Deathmatch by the time I logged off (not very humble brag, sorry).
Sorry for anyone having legitimate issues with their game, that is always extremely frustrating. I just thought I'd give credit where it was due. Without trying Cryodiil yet or looking for things to really pick apart, this was in my eyes a success of an update.

Good for you buddy! You’ve played the game on patch day 1 when so many people are still downloading that the server load is probably at an all time low. PC has already warned that the big issues surfaced a few days in. But by all means my guy, be one of those who does his thing early and doesn’t gaf about anyone else’s experience bc u got urs. Coming on here like this and trying to overshadow everyone’s attempts to get problems fixed by shouting out BUT I GOT MINE!!!
Anyone who plays full game content knows there are big issues with roll dodge, block, skills firing and latency in pvp. You & people like you who don’t bother testing all aspects of the game are a huge part of problem fella, you’re blocking the rest of us & obv don’t give an ish bc hey, it doesn’t affect you!

Naw bro, I’m annoyed that anyone would come on and say that this is a great patch without fully exploring the game. U can’t do one small part of the game and call the patch a success when the rest of the player base across all platforms is crying foul, it’s not a full spectrum opinion and therefore it has no place here.

You don't know who you are talking to. I'm not a "let's all pick flowers and go fishing" type of player. I'm as vocal about the issues in this game as anyone. They effect me. I was pointing out to people that not ALL issues effect ALL players and that not ALL content is broken to the point of being unplayable.
The forums aren't just for complaints (I know, crazy). Battlegrounds, their performance and the changes to queue, were a point of contention for a lot of people. Nothing you said in your post describes me or the point I was making at all.

Yet pre elsweyr when it was pop locked it was very playable. Hell there were even large 30v30 rights that had 0 lag back then. And now you can't even attack an empty keep without mega lag.
I queued for norm Unhallowed Grave, then ran it again solo, both times had absolutely no lag or stutter, and Rawlkha did seem to render almost immediately when i logged in. Didnt crash or disconnect, besides the one time i tested the block spam issue. Oh and the Xbox client size dropped by nearly 40 GB. Thats incredible.
So much shade being thrown... I wonder if the two sides of this debate are divided squarely between the people with a One X/SSD and the people with hardware from 2013.
