Anybody else has this looting bug ?

Since the last patch I get a looting bug sofar "only" in dungeons.
It happens very frequently - approximately 1 dungeon out of 2 e.g 50% +.
The dead mob is outlined in yellow but impossible to target and impossible to loot.
The only thing that helps is to log out and log in.
When I logged out/in for the final vet Boss (imagine that you finish a vet dungeon and can'ty loot the last boss !), I noticed a message that the fight was finished and X killed.

So I suppose that the reason of the bug is that the game considers that the fight is not yet finished even if it displays a corpse on the ground.
The bug is of course severely handicapping because the group might disband on the last Boss and there is not enough time to log out/in to loot the last boss.
Anyone has seen the same bug and/or is there any information about it ?

    I have experienced this yes and I think it is probably associated with the positional desync which is also stopping abilities firing.

    There have been a few posts about it, but not the looting as far as I'm aware.

    This has happened to me a lot of times even before this patch, most notably in Northern Elsweyr, recently in Murkmire and not specifically in dungeons. Some of the symptoms seem to differ compared to your case(s). Sometimes moving around the body, in particular moving to a different 'level' (i.e. a position higher or lower than the corpse), allows you to find a tiny position from which you can loot the body. This is incredibly annoying.

    Yes, I get this bug occasionally, but not inside dungeons just out in the world. Sometimes I just can't loot, sometimes I get an error message saying something like 'Target not in range.' The only fix is to log out and back in, /reloadui doesn't work.

    It seems to be a bug/glitch that's been around for a long time.

    For when you can't target at all (so not the positioning desync) I find the good ole heavy attack on the backbar fixes it.

    I get this bug in normal world (I don't do dungeons) since U25 and I could always fix it with "/reloadui" so far...

    As a non-pet sorc since 2016 the U46 Patch Notes sound like: "Those who do not wish to interact with the pet gameplay can now replace this skill line eso as a whole."

    Not new - positional dysync has been going on for along while, some patches it is worse than others (current is a good example)

    This patch seems to have added to 'dont bother telling the cliernt ther is loot on that corpse ' until ages later to the issue!

    Perhaps I got it in normal world and didn't notice.
    However I get it almost systematically in dungeons e.g it happens at least once in 1 dungeon out of 2.
    And it never ever happened to me before the last patch during 6 months.

    Yes Mague, you are right - the first occurrence doesn't necessarily happen on a boss.
    But once it happens even on a trash mob, the following mobs, bosses included, can't be looted either.

    I haven't had your issue with dungeon bosses, but twice already I've fought a dragon in Southern Elsweyr and as its health dropped to 0 it just stood in the battlefield, not dying, not moving, not lootable. The first time I got pulled into a dungeon I had queued for so I didn't see what happened, but the second time I logged off and back on and was able to loot the dragon.

    What I do see often enough in dungeons is that I get a prompt to loot a corpse, then get a message stating that it is too far away to loot (even though I was close enough for the prompt to show up in the first place). I sometimes have to try moving to different positions around a corpse until I can loot. As others said, this seems to be caused by the position desync that's been doing the rounds the last few updates, but I think it's a different issue than the one you describe or the issues I've had with the dragons.

    I never used to encounter this until Update 25 on console yesterday. I had it hit me 4 times during the Unhallowed Grave new dungeon.

    If you type into your chat box the following, it refreshes the screen (keeps you where you are) and fixes the problem: /reloadui

    Type that and enter it in the text box, you'll get a quick load screen and be back where you were, but able to loot/interact.

    Yeah, this is frustrating. Depending on the patch, the desyncs sometimes feel worse in dungeons between the corpse you see and where the server says it is. Try placing your cursor all around the body in hopes you might find the sweet spot, or /reloadui and see if that helps. Usually the former will work 99% of the time.

    I have noticed it more frequently since the Murkmire event, however /reloadui doesn't always work for me. I usually crouch my toon, stand up and bar swap. This usually fixes it. Just to be clear, that's when I don't get the "E" to interact. It's not the same problem as seeing the "E" that's greyed out out or getting thy "target out of range" message when you try loot.

    When it hits me, not only can I not loot, but I also can't switch weapons, put weapon away, or interact with anything (such as grappling hookshot, talk to NPCs, etc). It has the same feeling of the server or Internet about to dump me... but without the actual dumping.

    So glad a guildmate told me about /reloadui or I'd have gone mad rebooting the PS4 and recycling the modem only to learn the problem is ZOS update. :|

    All the damn time; every zone every; character; every weapon type --->
    though staffs getting 'stuck' in heavy attack doesn't help the situation!

    Also, werewolf form at boss and can't swap or sheathe weapons in wolf form so
    had to waste it waiting for it to wear off before i was able to loot the corpse -_-

    Very £!"^&*!^& annoying indeed.

    *Weapon swap/sheathe/heavy attack/attack a mob suffice to 'release' and allow to loot again, btw, no need to log out.

    Hey folks! Thanks for reporting this bug, the team is aware of this issue and looking into it. For now, we believe that you can dodge roll as a temporary workaround that allows you to loot.

    I haven't had this bug inside a dungeon, but had it happen a few times in overland. Unfortunately dodge roll almost never works for me.

    It's a bug returning every now and then. Had it earlier, then it went away - now it's there again. Auto looting might work, haven't tried it to be honest.

    There are 2 different bugs

    1) The "out of range" bug. This has been happening time and again for ages. It can be solved by moving and (hopefully) finding a place where the loot works. In this case the E generally appears but is grayed out.

    2) The corpse is outlined in yellow but no E appears and the corpse can't be looted. This is new, at least for me, and it started to happen after the last patch. /reload ui and the ZOS new suggestion to roll dodge doesn't work for everybody (it doesn't for me). It is reported to happen also Overland but I have observed it sofar only in dungeons but with a very high frequencey - almost during every dungeon run.

    I found a similar/related issue in "Unholy Grave" on PS4:
    Sometimes I just cannot grapple a hook.
    After a while (half a minute or so) it suddenly works,
    but mechs only working sometimes suck.

    Are you necro? Because this sounds like what I get when I use boneyard and syphon in a dungeon- only dungeons. I have the most issues with Wayrest Sewers final boss. When she disappears for her giant bats to attack sometimes she doesn't come back right away. But when I go to loot often it won't let me.

    It seems to be a "stuck in combat" variant, so hopefully solving this will benefit some other situations.

    PS4 player here. I haven't had the loot issue happen but I do see the issue with abilities. Day 1 wasn't a problem for me, but last night and this AM it was nothing but ability failure.

    I had this (PC), but I fixed it by just weapon swapping (~) once or twice. After that, it allowed me to loot.

    Seemed to only be right as it came out, since I haven't had that issue in a while. Then again, I was playing on a different computer at my parents' house, so that may be the issue as well - I noticed my other machine tends to lag since the patch, but my main machine is fine.
