Purchase ESO+ with crowns...make ESO+ giftable.

I'm sure this has been mentioned but figured I'd bring it up as well.

Would be nice if you could purchase and gift an ESO+ sub for crowns.

I know the price would likely be more than 1500, so maybe 2000-2500 crowns, that way you can't just use the crowns from the sub to pay for the sub.

Why tho? You still have to pay for the crowns. Why the extra step?

If ESO+ were giftable, then players could pay for their sub with in game gold so that's reason enough for some to be interested in the idea.

As someone with loads of in game gold and a tight wallet, I'd be all for this. As we already have crown gifts for gold not being a TOS violation, I don't see the problem with this. The only issue I see is that while gifts > gold isn't a violation, it isn't exactly safe or as easy as it could be. It's not fully integrated into the game trade system and that might be something that ZOS would have to sort out eventually if they want this practice to be fully legit for all players.

It would provide an option to pay for your sub with in game gold. EVE does this and it's a nice option for players that have plenty of gold and maybe don't want to spend real cash.

That is why the cost would need to be higher than the straight cash/crown equivalent which is 1500 crowns for 14.99. If they left it at that price it would be a problem because you could just use the crowns from the sub to pay for the account. By increasing the crown cost to 2500, ZoS still gets paid and folks who would like to use in game gold have an option by buying the sub as a gift with gold.

It could cost 1500 crowns without getting any crown sub. And isn't there an option to buy someone ESO+ from on elderscrolls.com page?

And if it happens it would be 6500 Crowns a month

There is no way for someone else to buy ESO+ through the website as far as I know. As soon as you click the 'Buy Now' button you're asked to log into your account and then the subscription is applied to that account, there is no option to assign it to a different one. So either you have to give them your username and password (huge security risk and against the TOS) or they have to give you their credit card info (huge security risk) or you have to be in the same place and take turns entering details.

Even then it's a risk for the person who is paying for it because it's automatically set up as a reoccurring payment and it's down to the account holder to cancel that so it doesn't charge them again once the subscription period is up. I'm not sure what ZOS would do if someone contacted support and said "I agreed to buy my friend a month of ESO+, he said he'd cancelled it but my card has been changed again, please cancel the reoccurring payments on this account which does not belong to me" but it wouldn't surprise me if they said, at least at first, that only the account holder can request changes to their subscription.

Ok, sorry, I must've mistaken it with some other sub.

That would be least problem, cause you can "fix" that by ordering your bank a refund of that order on your card so that would not be the risk. However all over i'd never suggest giving someone CC details or share around if it isnt within the family. And if you have security doubts within family, you might anyway have bigger problems.

Performing a chargeback would also result in the account being banned, so it definitely behooves someone to make sure it's taken off.
