Auto run for mounts on PC

Hi all. Sorry if this post doesn't make much sense since I'm not sure how to word this post properly
I'm new to PC, coming from Xbox and something about Mouse and Keyboard I don't understand is auto running for mounts. I have to HOLD Shift and then whatever directional key.
On Xbox, I mount up, press in Left stick once to sprint and then you're good (until you run out of mount stamina).
Am I missing a setting here or something? I read that it doesn't exist on PC and you have to create a mouse Macro. Which then brings me to my other part
Has anyone made a mouse macro for this? I thought about making one but it looks way above my head and thought maybe I should post to here before undertaking that lmao

- MAKE IMPERIAL CITY GREAT AGAIN, BRING BACK THOSE INCREDIBLE DAYS. My best experiences in ESO where in there!
- Return Stam builds to the power we held in One Tamriel. Long Live Stamina builds!
- Put Magplar and MagDK into their place. Magpsorc is a hopeless case.
- Is there any chance that we could get an Ebonheart Pact nerf? #CullingTheHerds .

✭You gotta rebind the key to something. For me auto run is middle mouse button. Also consider getting an MMO mouse if you havnt already. it makes life easier when most of your skills/actions are bound on the mouse buttons so keyboard becomes mostly used for movement.0 -

So there's no way in the game to press Shift instead of having to hold it down to cause your mount to sprint? Definitely not as far as I know. Don't wanna give you misinformation, but I can't think of any way.1 -
IsharaMeradin✭✭✭✭Maybe this might help...
Advanced Disable Controller UI has a "known issue" that causes sprint to be a toggle instead of requiring that the sprint button be held. If you want to use a controller with the keyboard UI, this might be an option to look into. Then again, it may be too much just to get the toggle option.

✭✭✭✭✭This may be a good time to tell you about the addon Assist Rapid Riding. It auto swaps Rapids as you get on and off the Mount. Really helps with speedy riding.
Two things, the addon is old, ignore that it still works. And, in Cyrodiil, you want to use the keybind option in the addon that swaps the skill. Look in the addon settings.Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
