The game is fun and it seems like never ending content. There is so much to do. If I get bored I can leave and when I come back I can pick right back up where I left.

4 1/2 years on PS4 EU. Through good and bad. But love the game & still enjoy playing so will carry on until I don’t.

Do not have the massive issues that some others have - but then only do trials once a week, and since switched campaigns in pvp have had no dc/blue screens/much lag and the fights are better. 😉

So whilst I understand and appreciate that there are major problems for others, for me & my guildmates (pvp and pve) things are generally ok.

But apparently my experience is not the ‘meta’ and I am some damn white knight 🤣

I have a real problem with the hyped up shouty over the top complaining on these forums. And the lack of patience & manners. (But thats just my age i guess.)

Yes, there are serious issues that need addressing but behaving like a spoilt brat doesn’t help. Facts & proper reports do.

And yes, it would be nice if there was better communication - they really need to work on that.

Because there us so much to do. I live in a country with crummy ping so Zos's contribution to it is probably only 80 out of 250 when it's a normal day. I can make and level alts, furnish houses, collect motifs, farm mats make gold trading, pug trials in Craglorn, pug dungeons, work on improving my dps. I have no one to impress so improving from 22k to 28k is good for me. I enjoy playing my healer, run harder content with my friends in guilds. I have 3 world bosses my primary healer has left do solo. Play pvp on good days, find something else to do in primetime lag. Go and stand on a cliff overlooking the sea at sunset. Are there issues, hell yeah. Do I let it ruin my day? Of course not.

hurr durr dis bizness carez onlee bout teh munneez.

What evidence do you have of that? Let me guess: You think you should get every thing for free while the rest of us fund a game for you to play or you think the devs should work for you for free.

Anyways, I dont exactly "stay". I re sub every few months, ive gone more than a year without playing too though. Ive been around since early access. It's very hard for me to keep playing MMOs with limited skillbars like ESO has, but it does do it better than the other games with said limited skill bars like GW2, NW, the defunct Wildstar, etc. This game would have benefited from combat similar to black desert online IMO. Missed opportunity.

However, Id probably stick around if theyd at least let us use the same weapon(s) on both skill bars. It makes no sense at this point for them not to let us since you can use duplicates of the same weapon on both bars, proving there is literally not a single reason gameplay wise to limit us like this. But it pisses me off when devs try to force you in to crafting or a time sink. Meaning, theyre forcing me to craft a duplicate weapon or forcing me to grind to buy or find a duplicate weapon so i can have the same weapon on both bars. It's despicable, frankly. "Play your own way" is a load of s***. How I want to play is to not have the immersion breaking way the 2nd skill bar works. I dont want to switch to a different weapon and I dont want to have to hope i can find or craft a duplicate weapon. I shouldnt have to take up inventory space with duplicate weapons because a bunch of low brows couldnt handle thinking and cried at game developers that skillbars were "bloated" and that it was better to spam the same 5 skills like a trained monkey for 100s to 1000s of hours. So, we got a 2nd skill bar which is great, but it isnt enough. Thinks like soul-trapping shouldnt take up a regular skill bar slot, for example.

But alas, this is why I unsub and ZoS never gets more than a month or 2 of sub-money out of me at a time. Their loss.

This is the sort of entitled nonsense that gives gamers a bad name.
I'd suggest some of you should step away from this complaint tsunami masquerading as a forum and take a look around at some of the scummy monetary practices being employed by other games currently around. You'll soon realise monetisation in ESO really isn't that bad.
Maybe if this game is SO bad then instead of creating whining click bait threads like this, just quit and jog on down the road a bit. When you peruse some of the other dross currently on offer out there you'll soon come running back.
The general opinion of ESO from outside the player base bubble and this whinefest of a forum is a lot more positive than from inside it.
Speaking as someone who purchased the car crash PC version the day it released and again on PS4 a year ago, the difference between it then and now is like night and day.
The PvE content game IS getting better and better and they will sort PvP out eventually.
So, stop whining and either quit or suck it up until they get around to fixing whatever tiny little insignificant aspect of the game is getting you all bent out of shape.

I stay, because I like the big world, lore, ability to read tons of books and stories ingame, and also, because eso is only game that fulfills all my requirements. I want to play a game, that is not f2p, out of alpha/beta, serious fantasy setting ( no lolis in bikinis), with systems like fishing and housing, and with rather good, not cartoony graphics. I tried lotro, but it never quite captured me like eso does. Performance really irritates me lately, but until I find a good alternative, I will stay here.

"ZOS only cares about money" is a mantra I see a lot on the forum, but it doesn't match how the team behaves here, on Twitter, Twitch or in game.

Even without checking outside resources, everywhere I go in game I see little details that show the love and care the team responsible for ESO has for it. Silly things like the ants climbing trees in Northern Elsweyr, or the touching memorials for those who have passed on.

Things like these are evidence that contrary to the forum cry of "the only interest they have is about money", there is a team that cares very much about the game they are making. And that is the reason I play - because I know there is a team that does care and is trying to make ESO the best they can.

I think I fall into the casual category, although I've tried everything in the game aside from duels and BGs. Maybe, because I'm a casual, I'm more lenient with the bugs and problems that arise.

The forum moderators are not the game developers. The recent Murkmire event is living proof of what Wrekkedd said: A game event that encouraged us to go to murkmire and do stuff there, only for us to find that Event tickets were sparse and available for purchase on the crown store, tokens were sparse, event chests were sparse. It was an "event" insomuch as showing up for a city festival only to find out that the prizes require tokens that are extremely difficult to get and you either have to spend all day grinding through the event activities in the vain hope of acquiring enough tokens for a single prize or fork over $20-50 per prize is an event.

    ...

The forum moderators are great, from what I've seen visiting these forums over the years. They should give the development team some pointers.

Lambert isn't a forum moderator, nor is Finn, Cardinal, Cullen, Tuttle and so many others whom I've seen interacting in many platforms.

As for the Murkmire event, I was displeased by its rules. That said, I never forget that I choose to play ESO with the rules set in place by the devs, not mine. When presented with an event (or quest, or activity) I don't like, I have two options:
    1. grit my teeth and do it,
    2. skip

I won't go into reasons for why I didn't like the Murkmire event since this is not the thread for it. I did get the booger (pet) by buying 4 fragments at the Empresario, one berry and one feather without having to spend a single cent of real money, while running only one char through the zone.
People are also aggravated over ZOS's apparent lack of ability to fix long-term, heavily reported bugs, their failure to develop/bug test/respond adequately to patches and their reported bugs, and the dev team's difficulties communicating adequately with the player base on any real issue.

Hearsay =/= fact. Perception =/= fact.

Failure to develop: I'm not sure what you mean by develop in that phrase. I mean, we just got two brand new dungeons a few days ago. Is that not development? How are they failing to develop when we get new content every quarter?

Bug test: this is a huge game that is played in 3 different platforms (computers, XBox and PS), has a immense number of players, with some being very dedicated to breaking the game (finding loop holes, exploits etc..).
Any game developer only has so many employees and there is no way for them to test it all. Even with PTS, due to it's limited time to test and the amount of players willing and able to do so, many things are left untested.
That all leads to bugs/glitches/what-have-you being present when it goes live.

    Respond adequately: like this?

Difficulties communicating: For good or bad, a decision was made to not let the player base know about future content. To prevent spoilers there is only so much they can say.

This isn't a technical forum, and people shouldn't expect to get technical answers. To expect devs to write about code and how to fix it is unreasonable.

I stay to help the community. Same reason I stayed through all 15 years of WoW. Without a healthy community, any MMO will die, and developers often forget about that.
