Northpoint in Peril

I need help on this quest. I am attempting to find Darien. I can't interrogate the soldier in the abandoned farmhouse because I am lacking the intimidation perk. When I go to where the quest marker outside is pointed, it vanishes. Every once in a while, a couple of guards will appear behind the Officers' Quarters and start chitchatting, presumably about Darien having been captured. Killing them gives me nothing--they are unlootable and vanish within a couple of seconds. When I try to enter the Officers' Quarters, I get a message to the gist of "You can't enter this door right now."
What am I supposed to do? I tried logging out and back in, but to no avail.

I am having the exact same issue. I thought this patch fixed this quest but still stuck at this part. Even after dropping it and starting again.

do you have a key to the Quarters?

I found out that I was missing a note in a nearby tent. There should be three people standing outside it, a bit to the right past the Quarters. After you read that note, you'll get a quest marker to the key, which will allow you into the Quarters. It might be helpful if they included a blue search radius for the note and an on-screen marker over it as they have for a few other quests. It's terribly confusing otherwise.

Thank you for this update on the tent of the key. I was running around killing every guard thinking they would drop the key. You are correct that there is nothing pointing me in the direction of the tent. When the server is back up I will do this and thank you in advance.
