Please bring back the red eye when using detect pots

We are no longer getting the red eye to let us know when we have increased detection radius when we use detect pots. Why did they remove this function when using detect pots? And can we please get the red eye back to let us know whether or not the pot actually activated, and when the duration expires. There is no other way of knowing when the duration expires.
