Weapon Question: High weapon lvl = more dmg with that weapon?

Since Magicka and Stamina determine the dmg of their respective weapons/skills, I'm assuming the actual level a weapon or skill line increases its effectiveness??? Or is is just a prerequisite to unlock higher level skills?

Zos fails really hard to explain thing on the game... skill line will unluck skills for ya. Specially weapon ults that required level 50, but wont affect the skills though. Skill level will affect the skill depending on the skill. Some skill will have its damage increased. Other will have a cost reduction, or even increase its duration. Once U reach rank 4 it unlocks a morph. After morph, leveling migh incread damage, or reduce cost or increase duration... again

Thanks for the insight. So essentially, the level of the skill itself will determine its duration/dmg IF the skill specifically says so? But otherwise, its to be assumed that only attributes will effect weapon dmg.

Yep. But I dont remember if the skill tooltip explain how the skill is affected... I learned the ones I know from playing and reading patch notes. Like I know for a fact that Staminas build trap has an increased on its duration as U level up ranks.

Both Magicka/Stamina and SP/WD add to the damage/healing of almost every skill in the game.

Leveling up the skill line merely unlocks skills and passives. Higher-level skills will either do more damage/healing or provide a cost reduction or a longer duration. That much varies from skill to skill.

    Mag/Stam ration to SP/WD is about 10.5:1

If you are at the Gear Cap, Quality of Weapon, Weapon Type, Passives and Set Bonuses are most of the factors that go into your Tool Tip. Attributes I think only apply to Skill Tool Tips. But now i wonder if they apply to Weapon Skill tool tips too.

Then there is actual damage output which throws a bunch of other factors at it.

If your Leveling, then Scaling skews everything in a weird way.....

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
