Stamina Necromancer builds for no-CP

I'm about to bring my Stamina Necromancer into more intensive PvP. I mostly play BGs, so I'm focused more on no-CP. I have boiled my options down to a couple of builds.

1) New Moon Acolyte 3 armor pieces and front bar maul with Master bow back bar, Bone Pirate jewels and 2 armor pieces and Bloodspawn

This is actually inspired by a build for CP PvP, tried something similar in BGs and it feels really squishy. I don't know if it's about my inexperience with the class or simply lacking mitigation it would have had in CP, but I'm getting pummeled really hard.

2) Ancient Dragonguard 3 armor pieces, front bar maul and back bar 1H+S, Bone Pirate jewels and 2 armor pieces and Bloodspawn

I haven't tried it, it offers more mitigation but I'm not sure about the offensive capabilities. I haven't used Ancient Dragonguard before but it looks promising by looking at the stats.

Skill setup is the same as #2. This is sort of a compromise build: about the same mitigation on back bar, but at any HP percentage, better offensive stats on the front bar.

Anyone using something similar that can give feedback on any of those setups?

In the end I went for 2.1 and it worked pretty well. Had no issues winning BGs, and it performed quite well even in CP Cyrodiil & IC. https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildData?id=199649

You have 3 abilities to create corpses, but you don’t use deaden pain!?!?
I would suggest making room for that ability, it’s easily one of the strongest abilities on the necro class!

B1 & B2 slots are flex spots, I use Deaden Pain and/or Shuffle instead of Turn Undead and/or Invasion. But it depends on the game.

Replace each light with heavy to begin with, if you use the bloodspawn. Stamcro in general does not need light armor.

It's for Undaunted Mettle passive. Also it doesn't have any connection to Bloodspawn.

Well I could have gone 7 medium or 5 medium 2 heavy. The difference in stats is not that much.

This will already be better you need about 1800 stam reg without pots. Then decide for yourself what you need to correct.

I'm at 1860 w/o potions, and I haven't had issues with sustain. 7 medium is mostly for extra cost reduction and 3% more crit, though on no-CP it doesn't matter that much since your crit multiplier is the default one.

Well, then everything is OK, but I don't think that bone pirate is good for CP, also for me 32k stamina is a lot.

If I were focused on CP I would have gone Fury instead of BP and Arthaeum Takeaway Broth or Sugar Skulls food. But I like having a high stamina pool for utility and sustain (roll dodge, block).

I think the build you list as 2.1:
- Bloodspawn
- NMA (front)
- BP (body)
- Potato 1h+s or master bow (backbar)

...is probably the most versatile No-CP stam build across all classes. Fury is more of a niche set for stam builds that tankheal a lot. Like DK, Warden and Necro.. maybe even Tempar. But it doesn't translate too well on Sorc and NB who are mostly designed to avoid rather than tank damage.

It used to be Spriggan + Bone Pirate but with everyone and their mothers running Onslaught, Spriggan does nothing for your your burst combo. And NMA, while more "expensive" due to the cost increase, also buffs your heals very nicely.

Yesterday I move the sets from my StamCro to my StamDK and then StamPlar and queued for BGs. Unsurprisingly it worked very well on all.

I run Spriggan + Bone Pirate + BS on my ... stamina DK and I really like it. https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildData?id=165561 I've played that character almost as much as I played the other 11 put together - Stam Necromancer is #11, Magicka Necromancer is #12. I'm still undecided what to run on #12, but I'm homing in on a build.
