I'm looking for a housing option with lots of exterior space to accommodate ~45 crafting tables, several mundus stone, and a transmuting station. I'm limited to houses that can be bought or earned in-game since I'm not willing to spend real $$. Any recommendations would be appreciated, thanks!
If you have the gold Coldharbor Surreal Estate is an open, house free sandbox property you can build anything on. If you are looking for a large site with buildings Hakkvild's High Hall has a lot of outdoor space.
ESO Fashion also has a list of the various houses with pictures and videos for some. Here is a link:
Nice suggestions folks! Hall of the Lunar Champion is definitely a great house and you can earn it by completing the Elsweyr Main Quest.
Provided you have purchased Elsweyr, of course!
But the Chapter has already been on sale several times now, and it'll become part of ESO+ when Greymoor launches in June.
Even with just the Elsweyr chapter, you have plenty of space with the main room and first wing (which is an exterior space), esp. since the limit is 700.
I've seen Hunding's Palatial Hall used as a Guildhall, with at least that many crafting stations outside. It also had a large number of them inside, as it was the entire available range at the time. No Chapter or DLC required for that one.
There's a lot of exterior space at the three Alliance Manors: Daggerfall Overlook, Ebonheart Chateau, and Serenity Falls Estate, but those have large pre-requisites in both gold and achievements. Again, base-game homes.
