The crashes were better than this lag.
Stop trying to fix so many variables at once. FFS.
1 - Revert the global cooldown: it fixed NOTHING.
2 - Revert all but one of your crash "fixes": The lag returned when you fixed the crashes. Thus, whatever you did to fix those crashes means you fixed the symptom, not the root cause. Revert all but ONE of the crash fixes. Do a quick patch. Let players push one prime time evening. Then you can assess whether that crash source was the root cause of this lag. If lag does not return during prime time, institute the SECOND crash fix and text live again.
3 - Clearly y'all are using Agile Development. Stop. Stop pushing for dates and push for FIXES.
What do you need from us in order to test this?
Here's an idea: get a functional server set working on PTS. Then swap your aliases over to that set while you work on current PROD servers?

✭✭I get the slow motion bug now-moving like im stuck in molasses. cant sprint. RAT dont work... Skills take forever to fire even if at all, even light attack. The block crash aint fixed. PVP is broken. Combat is bugged. Just not fun anymore.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭I did not crash tonight, but the performance was back to what it was before the update. Crashes aside, combat performance was significantly better last week. I honestly prefer good frames and functional skills with the occasional crash over this...0 -

This honestly needs to be prioritized over EVERYTHING at this point, I would even go so far as to say delay the release of Greymoor in order to get everyone onboard with the fixes.
The lag , frames and delays are now worse than before the performance update. How can it be that even with an 7700k or 9900k CPU and a 1080ti GPU we are getting these issues.
People with gigabyte connections living only a few dozen kilometers from the data centers are lagging as if they lived on the ISS. It is unfathomable that this is happening on a triple a game run by a multibillion dollar company.
I know me, and several big streamers and many of my friends are now actively searching for other games to play because waiting six months for a patch that was supposed to fix things to only have it break everything is not reasonable.Edited by TheFM on March 3, 2020 11:56AM3 -

Same, just cancelled mine (again). I don't care about anything other than performance at this point. Cancel all events, DLCs, Chapters, heck, even cancel Christmas. All hands need to be on deck with one goal in mind. FIX THE DARN GAME!!!1 -

I tried playing at three in the morning today and even then fighting guards was like being stuck in the event horizon of a black hole.0 -

✭Ya the last patch fixed the constant crashes in Cyrodiil for me. But, now rubber banding , high frame rates and lag is back with a vengenace. My question to you ZOS is when is the never ending saga of game performance issues going to end. My god you game has been live for over 5 years and still the same old song with it's lousy performance.1 -

Last night I had to give up within an hour. The amount of streamers online lately is also dropping, same with twitch viewers, was around 6-10 k on average for ESO before this update, now it's down to the hundreds at times. 😬0 -

✭On the bright side, lag is so bad that slaughterfish can't land their attacks, and we can swim across the rivers in cyrodiil now......seriously....try it, if you pick a narrow passage where you can get up on the rocks on the other side, you can swim across the border rivers now.2
