I can't find another reason why someone would tank with a bow tho
What's wrong with tanking with a bow? That's perfectly viable.

I think this is a legit reason for ragequit and remove the penalty after quitting for group tool because of this would be nice too. Please permaban those who are registered as their role without doing it, specially in a vet dlc dung when they are cp 810. They clearly have bought their account or nothing to do in an online game besides offline mode and housing ty. A dungeon with rng drops and bis gear, is not designed to sit quietly and patient for 3 hours because one person decided he wanted to tank with a bow today. If you wanna rp in dung, say it in special guilds. I don't come and ruin roleplaying, so roleplayers pls don't come ruin dungeon runs either. It works both ways!

Tanking with a bow is feasible. Volley keeps up crusher pretty well if you manage your toon appropriately and it gives you more flexibility in placement.

*If the bow is on your backbar and you've got S&B on the front bar.
Otherwise, no it's not feasible.

Wyietsayon wrote: »This is pretty terrible. You've already got the ability to kick players out of groups. You chose to run a group of complete random players. You can always leave a dungeon if you're upset with anything. That's more than enough control over situations.
That tank player maybe never ran a dungeon before and is trying to figure it out. Or maybe they're trying to build a tank that can also do some damage. And instead of talking things out with them, giving advice or having any sort of patience, you want to just permaban them.
Players like you are why people are afraid to try anything involving group content in this game.

I mean, if you queue as a tank, don't yell at your team for dying when you have no taunt on your bar.

How do you know they are not a tank in that exact setup when playing with their family and/or friends where they can do whatever they want and still win because everything is accounted for in an organized group?
Wyietsayon wrote: »That's the basis of every community. You don't like something, you leave.
Maybe he was trolling, maybe he was new, maybe he messed up his build, maybe he misunderstood it, maybe he queued as a tank by accident or on purpose to avoid the dps wait. Doesn't matter because they all happen. But you've got the power to leave a group or vote kick someone out of a group. That's all the controls you need.

Zos originally planned to allow us to flag ourselves for certain types of play. The stated reason for this was for role players so they could have a greater chance of being placed into the same instance. While I am not a RP player I see the benefit since we cannot choose what instance we are in like they can in some other games. Within a couple of months of launch, Zos stated they abandoned this idea for technical reasons. My guess is it was to much load on the servers figuring out where everyone needed to be.
At that time they said they would look for a different way to help the RP community. Unfortunately for that group of players that seemed to be little more than lip service as I have not seen any come from Zos on this front.
It is sad because ESO could have had a much more robust RP community. I know many RP players, some good PvE and PvP players, that balked at Zos abandoning this community and did not pursue the game further.
Ironically, a big phase of SWTOR's collapse occurred not long after this game released. That game had a very healthy RP player base which Zos could have capitalized on instead of neglecting.

I don't mind roleplayers at all, they humans too. But don't force it on randoms. I am a tryhard in this game, but when I play with randoms, I don't ask for tryhards. I dont ask for no death, or best buffs in the game or perfect rotations. I ask for the tank to taunt and the healer to heal. It's literally I don't ask for more than what I knew myself the first day of eso launch when I reached level 10. It's on that level I ask for. It's really not much!
