Even in WoW, and SWTOR the dissappearing act is a few minutes cooldown emergency skill. If NB invi were an ultimate, then yeah sure. Give immunity to getting out from sneak, but in it's current state it's just for crit buff, and engage, and should not be an all solver card.
Also you can always morph it for the health regen which scales with health for extra survival.
haha yes if only we had something like invisibility pots
cloak doesn't give any "super immunity that protects from everything", it simply makes you untargettable i.e people can't hit you with single target abilities (such as light attacks) before you get revealed (which can be done with any dmg aoe) or you come out of stealth
Bu...But how did you managed to find a WW in PvP in a 1st place ?!Skullderic wrote: »Oh, here's another good one, WW light attacks, no Cloak. just slap you right out of stealth & can't ever Cloak away. Pfft.

Ran into him in IC. I run Caluurion, near maxmimum speed and Eternal Hunt on my magblade. He did about 3x as much damage to me with his basic attacks as I did to him (I checked with FTC combat log). He ate my Eternal Hunt rune and was still able to reach me and kill me with basic attacks, even though he should have been briefly immobilized. Believe me, it is a problem, one of the most egregiously unbalanced match-ups I have run into for some time. I tried twice, but it was too dangerous to stay near him in WW form.
It's very frustrating. I am playing this game for 4 1/2 years and magblade is my main. Yes, I play a somewhat unusual build and, yes, my stats are low, albeit my crit is good. I play this build, because I enjoy a part melee, speed-based, evasive playstyle, without the shade. I am extremely squishy, which is fine. I have to have Cloak working, though. Whatever ZOS have done, it's nasty. I'm not sure it's entirely intended. Not even Eternal Hunt seems to work well anymore, at least not with the reach a werewolf seems to have. I tried to control him with Cripple as well, but to no avail.
Yes, you can always gank unsuspecting noobs with a nightblade. Any nightblade can also be pretty nasty in larger fights, not just the snipers, but also the ones who jump in with Incap or with Caluurion at point blank range, like me. At least I put my life on the line every time I do.
It's still frustrating how far nightblade seems to have fallen. Nightblades used to play an extremely attacking game. It was easier to put people on the defensive. I'm saying this not merely from my experience of playing one, but also from being attacked by nightblades, including stamblades. With damage blunted, it's ever more important that at least our defense works.
The direction ZOS has taken, adding tankiness via Merciless Resolve for example, is IMO unfortunate. It homogenizes nightblades to use the same type of defense (tankiness) as every other class, though IMO without being really good at it. At any rate I prioritize evasion in my build, which is IMO how nightblade was originally designed. You can't have everything. That's fine, but these increased Cloak failures are hitting some NBs hard. It's another unfortunate reason to adopt a more generic playstyle, e.g. to be tankier or to play a mag-stacking, shielding build.

Careful, before some sensitive snowflakes get offended and report you for encouraging them to risk their loife.

Lol, yeah ikr. It's like... which thief or assassin in the world would actually announce himself to everyone that he wants to enter combat? Or spy? Or undercover cop? Hell, even snipers position themselves up a vantage point to get a clear shot and that would mean they have less peripheral vision of their surroundings.
That's why I always believe pvp HAS to be team based and not this weird amalgamation that we have currently. Each class should and must have something that other class dont so that it's a 'rock paper scissors' kinda combat, not 'checkers' or 'chess'. Once that happens, it makes it much easier to integrate pve changes or vice versa without affecting much of the other.
I don’t need cloak and I’m more of a pvp player then I am a role player look at all my 1v1 1vxs on my yt channel my point is nb is a rogue for me and a lot of players like playing it because of that reason what is nb with out its signature skill nothing maybe that is the role player side of me speaking I mean right now I actually have dark cloak slotted but it would ruin the game further for me if they remember cloak.Deathlord92 wrote: »Getting rid of cloak will ruin the nb identity for many players for example reason I like playing nb is because I love playing a rogue as I have done in past mmo RPG games. If you want cloak then dont moan about low damage or class being held back.
Its a mechanic that doesnt work at the best of times it never has, so why do you feel like you need it.
Cloak mech being invis has always attracted troll players to it and they have used it to annoy people and when enough people moan (even if its wrong) ZO$ tend to listen.
I run mag and stam blade and they are in a bad place at the min, i would prefer a different mech added to cloak other than invis and the class being balanced properly and usable.
But if you want to be able to cloak past some random npc doing thieves guild quests thats cool but dont say im trying to break the class im trying to mend it you just dont understand!
Cloak is not used it top teir pve and in pvp its a joke so only rpers use as far as im concerned so it should be more of a memento effect.

We had situations in past when shade was broken for 3-4 patches in a row so prepare for the worst
