Dialog sound quality

Since the big update, all NPC dialog in the game sounds different to me. "Different" as in "bad. There is a distinct background hissing noise beneath everything that is spoken, as if they went slightly too greedy with the compression. I might just be suddenly noticing something that has been there all along, but the noise is very apparent to me now. Even though I don't know for absolutely certain, I rather think I would have noticed if it had been there before.
The voice acting and the fully voiced quests in this game are great strengths. I would hate to see them skimp on sound quality just to save a few gigabytes, if that is indeed what happened.

✭From the lack of responses, I guess I am either the only one who noticed, the only one who cares, or, which seems more likely, just imagining things, and the hissing noise has in fact been there all along. I will see myself out...0 -

But it does appear that most of us can't really tell the difference.0
