Node detection?

Question: Is there some way to be able to detect certain nodes around the map such as Ores and Runes.

If not, do you think that this would be a good addition to the game, or do you think that it would take away from the gameplay and the crafting system?

I personally disliked any help in finding resources because I like always being on the lookout for stuff. But that's just me :P

I don't think the map or add-on should have any nodes show up persay. I think some of the wonder of the game is not having that mini-map showing the resource and looking into the environment for the desired resources (at least under ideal circumstances).

It may also render the Keen Eye/Keen Sense trait useless. Unless the latter not only helps light up the node, but increases the amount obtained from the node too (e.g. 2 points invested means you find three runestones each time).

There is an Add on that will save locations of nodes you previously found and gives you a waypoint on your nav bar as well as an icon on your map. Its called Harvest Map .. it has a few glitches and can cause some issues with the map interface in game at times reloading it tends to fix it though.

I am sure that there are addons that will use the ESOHead data to tell you where resources can be found.

There's an in-game solution already. It's called Keen Eye.
