Valkyn Skoria Mask and Shoulder Styles

So I just started playing ESO on Ps4 a month ago. I really want this style, but I'm cp190 and haven't had any luck completing pledges. So I checked the guild stores and they're going for 250k-500k gold! Which sucks for me because I only have about 20k. I need help, dont want to lose out on collecting these styles and I know I have less than a month to do it. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

They have literally been released for under 24 hours. Chill and wait for prices to drop. The Masks from easy-to-farm base game dungeons never stay expensive because the supply starts trumping the demand real fast.
Shoulders won't drop in price as much, but still will.

You don't need to have it NOW when it's fresh and new. Geez.

Thanks for the comment. Never said I need it now, only that I want it before the event ends. The purpose for this post was for advice on what I should do or focus on to achieve my goals. Not cry about wanting something first day it drops. Thanks again for the comment, inbetween the negativity there was some actual good advice

Focus on patience and a little reasonable judgement of the situation to achieve your goals then. Sounds like you panicked at seeing high prices on the first day and didn't really think it through. Which is fine, but not my fault mate. Keep trying to run pledges for your own chance for the shoulder. See how prices are in about 2 weeks.

Yes. There's no Valkyn Skoria in CoA 1.

I have no problem being patient. As I stated in the first comment, I do realize that i have a month to try to get the styles. I only mentioned the gold to try to get advice on maybe a good way to earn alot of gold/exp. So if by panicked, you mean I came online to seek advice from more seasoned players then yes, I did. And where did I say anything was your fault? Its seems like you're one of those people who read into something without actually reading. I get it that some people struggle with the subject, or have trouble comprehending what they just read, and that's fine. But to comment on something based on assumptions is both childish and ignorant. So while I'm focusing on patience I suggest you work on your reading comprehension.

There's a saying about people who assume things... lol I'm not mad, upset, or insulted. And I thanked you for your advice. So please stop trying to project your negativity on me like I came on one of your posts and attacked you. I apologize that my original posts offended you in a way that you responded like I personally insulted you. I was just seeking advice. You voiced your opinion, and I thank you again for your feedback. But now I'd like to hear from someone else, if you don't mind. So to you Sir/Ma'am I say good day!

If you have a tank you could farm it easy as getting a group in the finder is fastest on tank. Nobody should hold anything against your CP if you are a support role and know the dungeon mechanics.

Make sure you do the dungeon on hard mode, I'm pretty sure it increases your chance of getting a motif drop. Good DDs can make this easy on the group.

Skoria is cool looking which may raise the price a bit, but if you go after gold to simply buy it you should have plenty of time to get enough. The drops aren't guaranteed though, if one clear is really difficult/time consuming you may go the gold route.

A guild farming run is probably the most hassle free way to get it for free, people who already have it may give a duplicate it to you for free then and there.

Dungeon itself is not difficult but to grind it several times every day its hideous af. Drop rate is like 0,1% ffs.

To OP. 250-500k is good price imo. The prices will not drop coz *** drop rate.

I'm pretty sure just having the hard mode achievement gives the increased drop chance so you don't need to do it every time. That said, with some half decent dps it isn't that difficult.

You're supposed to have better chances if you have the HM achievement, but once you have it you can just do regular vet.

The farming part is still easy, just not very pleasant. :p RNG will be RNG, but the base-game dungeon masks generally drop in price because they are generally more easy to grind for and where you are unlucky, someone else will be very lucky. Prices always fluctuate, and they definitely won't stay as high as they are in the beginning -- some of the DLC ones sold for 500k at some point and base-game will always be cheaper than those.

Unfortunately not, no. We still haven't been through all available dungeons, and outside of the Undaunted event I believe there have been no repeats. Molag Kena dropped in Summer 2018, so while we have no guarantees, I do think there may be good chances for it to be one of the first to make a return.

And OP...I really hope you can get over whatever the heck is going on with you. :|

It'll take time unless you're level 160 and doing top level crafting writs every day, not to mention farming motifs from Summerset, Clockworck City, Vivec, or Wrothgar.

The styles will be back eventually, they've had others come back for a short period before.

I agree the prices are decent, I actual expected them to be higher. I just wasn't sure if I'd be able to get about 1mil gold from questing alone.

It's not high (relative to maximal) but CoA 2 HM does have a DPS check that would preclude some from completing. That could both increase trader demand and cut supply enough to effect the current price and change over the course of the month relative to past base game dungeon months.

I don't know how lucrative questing could be, but do know that a popular non-combat way to make gold is to farm mats. As a purchaser of mats I would say that is currently more profitable than it was a couple months ago.

Other option would be to farm yourself. If I read correctly that you've never completed a pledge, it's still possible. Ask for help if desired as you can go through some dungeon difficulties to get to CoA 2 in a week or so and farm it over the next few weeks at your CP.

How is a new person supposed to judge typical market prices. They were just seeking advice, had nothing to do with lack of patience. They literally just started playing they didn't know what was needed. Stop acting like everyone has the same experiences as you.

    As for the OP

A good way to earn some coin is to do your crafting writ dailies. If you do them everyday you will have enough by the time the event ends to buy the helm, most likely.

And I gave them advice and told them to chill and they got really angry. It has nothing to do with experience, just take a breather and consider that something new that drops randomly will be ridiculously priced in the first few hours.

Thank you , that's exactly how I felt. I intentionally wrote about my level, gold, and the fact that im a newcomer so people could better understand my situation, and offer advice from that point of view. I still don't understand what was so offensive about my original post, or why someone would try to project their feelings of anger on me, but I digress.

As far doing daily crafting writs, I've considered it as well. The problem im having is crafting wasn't a focus for me, so even though I've leveled some to 50 others will take time to get maxed out. Not to mention I still would have to find the skill points to put into each skill.

Not sure if you are NA or EU ? Even if I carried you it wouldn’t be a guarantee though fir the style to drop. Though as others said the prices will drop.

Maybe farm the very desired sets to sell and get the gold for the styles you want :)

In the game you have basically two strategies to get things like this... farm for everything thats released EG Style pages, motifs etc.... or make enough gold elsewhere that you can buy it without the grind.

The way drop rates have gone, and splitting motifs into chapters, fragments etc, its often far quicker to make the gold to buy them.

Crafting writs may seem like something thats going to take a couple of hours to grab the skill points, but I promise you its well worth it. Once you're up abd running with top level writs and have your crafts levelled so many things are easier, and you have a constant supply of upgrade mats, and a steady source of income.

Then it doesnt matter if a page is 250k.
