I suspect, after playing on PTS, that they were trying to bring up the low end for everyone, I.e.to make sure the frame rate never drops too low, rather than improve the average. It may be more constant, rather than have the wild swings it did before.
Haven't fixed my ini or graphics settings but I'm chilling at 55 from 144. But this is most likely because I didn't adjust me graphics for the spot I was in.
Significant DECREASE for me. Areas that were typically 80-100 are now in the 60s. And areas that were in the 60s are now in the 20s to 30s. But there are so many variables that go into FPS that it could be anything. That said, the fact that this patch specifically stated an INCREASE but so far looks like a DECREASE is laughable. It's especially laughable since I moved ESO from an HDD to an SSD.
I was 100% sure that all those promises about "performance improvement" from ZOS were a joke. And after reading so many comments by people who claim that they so no improvement, it seems like my fears came true.
other players and some textures seem to load more quickly for me. also i feel like interaction with e.g. crafting stations or writs dropoff is a bit smoother.
not sure about the fps, it rather is a decrease for me so far
