How to figure out which addons are causing the game to crash

the game crashes again and again for me with out-of-date addons enabled. when i disabled outdated addons it worked fine.

is there a quick way to find out which addon(s) are responsible for this? i have 52 addons (not counting libraries) and i use all of them.
i don't want to check them one by one as this would take a very long time due to loading screens from reload ui. :(

any ideas on how to spot the cause of the issue? :)

i have updated the addons with minion and restarted my pc three times after the crashes hoping it would resolve anything, but it didn't.

No there isn't a quick way if it just crashes and you can't read the error log in the game.

Maybe disable them in groups. Disable 1/2 of them and see if the game crashes. This might be a little faster than 1 by 1.

I like to enable the add-ons that give me most "bang for buck". Something like Bandits and item saver. Play for a bit. See how it goes. Then I'll add some other add-ons. Maybe add 5-10. And then play for a bit and see what happens. And keep adding like that and seeing how it goes.

If it crashes then it might be due to the last set of add-ons. Or one of the add-ons in the last set.

For this situation, you might have to play for some time after you enable a set of add-ons to see if it does something.

If you're normally experiencing a crash when doing something particular. Then try to recreate those situations after you enable a set of add-ons.

If it crashes after say 2 hours of play you'll want to play for at at least 3 or 4 hours after enabling a set of add-ons to see if something happens.

That's what I would do at least. Better than turning on addon at a time.

Yeah that's the fastest way if you don't have a clue what addon is broken.

Remember to take initial backup of your live folder so you can easily go back to your old setup after testing. AddOnSettings.txt controls what addons are enabled/disabled on which toons.

One thing you want to be mindful of as you enable the add-ons in groups is that, on occasion, certain combinations of addons will cause crashes.

You might have to figure out which addons cause issues with other addons.

I've had a problem in the past where 3 addons would cause an issue if all 3 were eneabled at the same time, but a combination of any 2 of the 3 was fine, all other addons being enabled.

    Just a datapoint to remember.
The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.
