    How come ESO original launcher take much longer to download the game then if one have the game on Steam?
    4hours and only 20% downloaded, and yes I got very good internet connection

    20 % should not be in the downloading stage anymore, but rather "applying patch" - at which point things begin to go fast (at least for me).

    You are right it's applying patch.. sorry didn't see that but still on 20% oops suddenly it move to 21% :o

    Could be that you have to enable out of date add-ons again in Settings

    So before this I always had 0 load times due to ESO being on an M.2, am I going to have high load times again and suffer recaching everything?

    Loading times are fine, just for the first time after a patch it has been always slow - I logged in to both megaservers and it was just slow for the first one, the second one was quick. So far so good, well done. Guess, it is time to upgrade to ESO+ again.

    PC EU - Loading times between zones are quite long for me (game is operating on a SSD and I have a 20mbps fiber optic connection). Perhaps that's because a lot of players are trying to log in at the moment.

    I had the great idea of leaving the patcher running before going to bed last night. Got up this morning, and whole game was already re-downloaded before leaving for work. :)

    I suspect download times might drop to a crawl for people downloading it tonight as everyone is coming home in the US, and downloading at the same time.

    I'll see the actual game performance when I get back home.

    Addons update whenever the creator of them gets to updating them. Most authors are fairly good about updating their addons within a few days of a big update (sometimes even having them ready before updates go live, since I think they use the API from the PTS to have it ready, but I don't know anything about coding so I could be wrong on that front). I would suggest installing Minion if you don't have it already; it'll auto-detect addons that have updates ready, so you won't have to manually check every addon individually every day to see if there's an update.

    :blinks: Woah, that was quick! I've realised this morning i needed to re-download the game to a different drive, since I ran out of space, so I turned that on and left for work. I got back and was able to play immediately. Magic!
