I will just add that there has been a trend to take houses in a Crown-only direction, lately, but most of the older ones are still available with gold.

Plus - a few of the houses you can buy with in-game gold come furnished with rare items that you can sell for much more than the actual price of the house.

You can only buy the Unfurnished version of a house with gold.

The furnishings you buy with the Furnished version of a house are account bound anyway.

That's true, but hardly surprising since it seems like the clown store has become the main focus of ESO.

Because I have better places to spend my gold? Like acquiring actual gear etc?

What does a house in ESO offer you that you'd rather spend real$$?

But the unfurnished versions all come with a few items that are not bound. It’s not zero furnishings, just a lot fewer of them than the furnished version.

The only exception I’m aware of was when we got the Psijic Villa free — that was literally unfurnished, 0 furnishings, despite the unfurnished preview showing several trees and such.

.... you can buy them with gold. You just can;t buy all of them with gold. Some are crown store exclusive, but as far as I know, most can be bought unfurnished with gold.

I've bought several with gold. I can't say if ALL can be bought with gold, but many can. The biggest I've bought must be Hakkvild's High Hall, it required some achievement too. Falkreath Thane I believe it was. Quite a few requires an achievement and gold, if you don't want to pay in crowns.

Well. in in pretty much any region are as well houses which can be bought with gold - some have additional requirements to be bought with gold, like certain achievements. Huge estates can be crown only, but i don't see this as a pay to win situation at all, because there are plenty of houses available for gold, which are even big enough for a guild.

That is correct, you buy the house when you are actually in it in a preview session - after buying it, you will be put in your own new house in a separate area, in order for you to be able to change it and add your decorations and furniture.

This game becames P2P and this makes me worry for the future of the game. İ wanne buy houses, because this is a way of free TP (easy gaming), also people will buy houses and i can sell more furniture. GM's pls think this again.

There are more houses you can buy for in-game gold than there are for crown exclusive. And frankly, the crown exclusive houses are so gigantic they are really only suitable for guilds, collectors/hoarders and YouTube content providers. Waaay too big for anything I might use them for.

When housing was first announced and they gave us a list of house names, sizes and locations I was certain the small house in Daggerfall would be perfect for my main character, then I saw it and not only was it only 1 room, it was so dull and square that it completely killed my interest in it..

I have to say, I actually really love that house. I was disappointed too, when I first saw it, but now that I have it decorated... and mind you, it's nothing special, I have no particular talent as an interior decorator... it feels very warm and cozy to me and always makes me happy when I go there. As a practical matter, I also use it a lot, because I spend a fair bit of time crafting in Daggerfall, and at this point, I just don't always feel like riding back and forth through town.

All the houses released with the original Homestead update can be brought with gold, I believe this was done so it was possible to get the in game achievements without spending real money.

For example the original three manors, Daggerfall Overlook, Serenity Falls Estate and Ebonheart Chateaux are all just shy of four million gold to buy(around the 3.7-3.8mill mark each).

Owning each one gives a title, owning all three confers the title of "Count" or "Countess" :)
      When people say to me........

I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!
