Provisioning writs and perfect roe

Why don't provisioning writs have a chance to drop perfect roe? Provisioning writs are the only writ type to not give the chance to gain the gold mats in the crafting trees, but still has master writs that require perfect roe to complete.

✭✭✭✭✭I think this is a great idea. Since the writ voucher payoff is so low the only reason I do provisioning writs is for frost miriam and, to a much lesser extent, bervez juice. Getting a perfect roe once in awhile would be most welcome. Even if it is only once in a great while like it is when fishing.PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo9 -

I got master angler and like 130 perfect roe from it ages ago and just thought it strange that perfect roe doesn't drop from writs.Edited by Yellow_Monolith on February 21, 2020 7:34PM0 -

But for players still needing to increase their food stores or recipe knowledge, or players still trying for their first Ambrosia recipe, there’s a lot of gain in the writ rewards.0 -

No argument there, and you bring up some important advantages. I guess I'm a veteran provisioner then - all recipes known and key ingredients stockpiled thousands deep. Perfect Ambrosia recipe pieces go into my guild's bank for younger characters. I do try to help my guildhall with attunable tables as new craftisets are introduced and find the other crafting writs do much better for bringing in writ vouchers. Payoff on a typical provisioning master writs seems to generally be 2 vouchers.
But yeah, I do think an occasional P. Roe in the reward bag would be a good idea for provisioners.

I usually sell psijic fragments for 1k each or just give ambrosia recipes to new players I'd help in pvp for free. There's not really much to gain from provisioning writs for anyone.1 -

They could make the drop chance extremely low. Like say that if you did them everyday on one toon, on average you'd get one every six months.
Something like that would allow Roe to still be pretty rare so prices stayed good while giving very dedicated crafters who run tons of toons everyday a decent supply for their master writs

Just make it about as low as getting swift jewelry from jewelry writs. Not going to impact on the price of roe at all, but a nice little frisson when you do get one.2 -

HiveMind3006✭✭✭I agree. I love to play the game and do a little fishing but at the drop rate for perfect roe I don't think their introduction into the writ rewards would be a bad idea at all. I have fished up 300 fish in past couple of days, way longer than I'd like to fish and from that stack of fish I got no perfect roe at all, certainly doesn't encourage perseverance but that's for another thread.Cragsear: Brit: DK: Tank/DPS-Mag (Armoury). You can nearly buy 2 full iridium plates for one chromium grain right now on PC NA.(Math before coffee, except after 3, is not for me)0 -

✭✭✭✭If we are adding stuff to provisioning rewards then how about adding chances at say aethereal dust, and the cipher to the mix. Granted drop rates should be lower than in the wild, but the opportunity would be nice0
