The Greymoor Physical Collector's Edition retails for $129.99 so the OP is probably looking at a discount. :D

OP is likely a Kiwi ... so $105 NZD is about $67 USD.

Which is a good deal for Kiwis if the OP is referring to the full Collector’s Edition bundle.

But, I’m not sure which Edition is being referred to in the OP.

Yeah Im Kiwi and the chapter is more expensive this year. I normally get collectors but this year it's so expensive I might have to pass on it.

So what exactly do you miss out on if you don't buy this chapter? Obviously you don't get the new zone.. but is the antiques system tied to the chapter or is it part of the new base game?

Pretty sure the Antiquities system is going to be like Jewelry crafting was for Summerset, in that you won't have access unless you have the chapter.

Raiders need to buy the chapter for access to the trial. Those that are less serious about trials can wait a year for the zone to become part of the DLC. I am not sure what might be separated from the DLC as there are not new classes. However, it is a good question concerning the antiques.

It would be nice for OP to add some context since we all agree the price they post makes no sense for USD or the Euro afaik.

Perhaps I'm wrong but post release that what it would cost me just for the chapter.

eso+ and chapters are beyond common sense to spend money on at this point.

Your better off buying the upgrade on steam then as it's cheaper there for you since based on the prices im seeing here:
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/1205430/The_Elder_Scrolls_Online__Greymoor/
It will only cost you about NZ$ 63.95 for the base upgrade while the digital collectors upgrade will cost you about NZ$ 149.95. Now I can't get the prices for your region on the bethesda/elderscrollsonline store but if what you're saying is true and the base upgrade costs you NZ$ 126 (aka 80USD) then yes, i HIGHLY suggest getting the upgrade on steam instead.

    The good news is...
    * If you wait 3 months after release it will be $40 US
    * If you wait 6 months after release it will be $20 US
    * If you wait 9 months after release it will be $10 US
    * If you wait 12 months after release it will be free.
    * If you wait 18 months after release it will be free, come with a non combat pet, and the CE treasure maps.

    Oh please.
Some games get little to no content updates; only cash shop updates. Even than, developers could be butchering the game instead (refer to BHVR)

I am relatively new to the game and came recently and so I was always wondering, when new Chapter is transformed into normal DLC (So you can buy it for crowns or play with ESO+). Is it always with release of new Chapter then, so people who didn't buy Elsweyr chapter but play with ESO+ will gain access to it?

Converting the old chapters to DLC has just been the status quo for the last 2 chapters (Morrowind and Summerset). There is no guarantee that they will do the same for Elsweyr. That said, Morrowind and Summerset were both accessible with ESO+ once they were converted to DLC. They did separate out other parts of the Chapter into other purchases, that are not accessible with ESO+, such as Warden with Morrowind. I would guess they'd do a similar treatment with Necromancer and Elsweyr when Greymoor is launched.

And how is that different than buying any standalone game? 60 on release (plus 40+ for the Season Pass), half that 6 mo later during the Steam sale, $19.99 for the full-package GOTY edition 18 mo later. (And then maybe the free giveaway one month on PS+/Epic/Origin/GamePass/whatever)
