✭✭While I agree that the timing of the event isn't the best, ZOS aren't the people to blame for Australia's internet.
ZOS are 100000% responsible for scheduling this TOTAL redownload of THEIR client in the middle of THEIR event with limited time rewards.
ZOS are 100000% responsible for not having this new version of the client download as version 3 (original, PTS and this) ahead of time and only enabling it on go live day.While it can't be discussed here, because it's political, you perhaps need to be addressing your concerns to those that destroyed our NBN, which was originally planned to be rolled out as fibre to the premises, to every home.

At a consistent 65Mbps, just shy of 2.5 hours assuming the 67 GB size people say it is on PTS.
You can check your internet speed here.
You can calculate your download time here. Put in the file size at the top and your speed at the bottom make sure you have file size set to GB and connection set to whatever your connection is( mbps for most people.
Remember it will have to unpack and install the game as well. So that will take time depending on your hardware. I doubt the file size will be over 65 GB. They are saying it takes up that must space installed. It is probably closer to 45-50 GB compressed and could be less depending on how much they compressed it. .0 -

✭✭✭I left the question on ESO twitter as soon as the event was announced but no one from ZOS cared to reply my pertinent quest: "If we're getting 1 week less in rewards due to the download of U25, why do you hold an event at this date?!"
This makes no sense to me: it's ok to miss tickets but it's absurd to miss daily rewards.

The way it is pc players are unequally impacted, and pushes more crown sales on pc players. Honestly if they hadn't made a statement about specifically reducing the login rewards to accomodate the redownload, I would be fine with it (maybe a tiny bit annoyed) but otherwise fine. Because then it would be "we realize you're gonna miss some time, so here are extra days with extra tickets" and not "we're making sure you don't miss out on the free stuff, but we're okay with you missing free stuff if it means you'll buy stuff to make up for it"1 -
