All I see, for the direction of the changes is the elimination of eso being a mmo of investment of your time or the reward from a grind. Changes like the off balance change destroy builds that revolve around veteran players grind for hard to earn sets like maelstrom arena staffs. These changes rewards gameplay THAT ENABLES NEW PLAYERS TO BE POWERFUL WITHOUT 0 GRIND. Long gone is the reward for farming a maelstrom staff, master weapons and making a build around it. Changes like the off balance change is with intention of MAKING NEW PLAYERS POWERFUL WITH 0 FARM. I say at this point there is only one thing that will get results. MONEY. Veteran player is not eso goal. It how to get new players to play. As a result I have for the first time in 4 to 5 year canceled my subscription. I call for change. The meta is completely different for a reason and the reason is not balance. It how to give new players power advantage

    Yep, as unfortunate as it is, most of the PAYERS are complete garbage at the game. Both PvE and PvP-wise. It's as good of a time as it's ever been to re-think your future in this game if you're a veteran player.

    I'm EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in eso. For the first time ever in 4 to 5 years. I'm looking at other another mmo final fantasy. I not bashing eso but I just dont feel value in grind or leveling up as a veteran player. I'm not quitting but checking out other options.     iceheart is not a set for veteran players, but for low to midrange without perfect rotation.
    So these players are affected by the nerfs as veterans are.

    Translate I afraid of new players, please give me some buff because i am no lifer farmer so I need to have some advantage to stay op to new players. Anyway switch to CP cyro and u will have your advantage over new commers at least until they farm 810 CP. New players do not have any advantage over veterans :D . Pvp should be based on skill not base on pve farming....

    I am out of the loop, what is the off balance change?
    Edit: Ok, i checked the pts forums, and as i see it:
    - Off balance cant be purged.
    - heavy attacks dont consume it
    - it actually buffs those who have vMA and lightning staff lol
    - i still have no f***ing idea what you are complaining about.

Simply grind to have access to a unique build because I EARN IT. I should be competitive with it. mmo has work like this forever. AT THE BEGINNING ESO ALSO WORK LIKE THIS. IN FACT, if eso would of explained that the goal of this mmo was to cater to a casual audience. I would Of NEVER INVESTED YEARS INTO THE GAME. When I think of any elder scrolls title I think of a long term experience that get better like a fine wine. My experience with eso has been the complete opposite. This is a fact and not bashing because it's not pointed at any one eso time during playing. I feel betrayed that the direction is to eliminate the veteran player. I'm super wary of the next elder scrolls experience. My time is valuable and I alway love the feeling of achievement. That feeling of achievement and thrill of getting the next big item set is eliminated from eso experience. If you truly look at the pvp experience. It's the same setups using a rotation with 0 grind included. Honestly if eso want to retain player based they should listen to my story, listen to the fact that it's not about the quick fix to achieve power but the reward of achieving the perfect item set combinations. THIS WILL RETAIN A PLAYER LONGER then any attempt to get a new player. By lowering the ceiling by eliminating hard earn gear combination. I feel betrayed and use. But just like xbox 360. I WILL REMEMBER.

    So go play same grind farm based mmo like metin2 or line age 2 its game for u have no real life and spend 95% on boring farming.I realy happy to have mmo where i can be competitive while i spending 95% of Playing time on activities which i like. And not be forced to grind farm something by killing some 10000000 mobs or repeat one dung/raid for 100times until i droped some *** item.

    Their is a different in farming to be competitive and farming to have access to a new powerful playstyle. That was what made the golden age of eso great. And the player numbers as well as the pvp seen was packed. The gameplay as a whole was amazing. Eso during this time was the greatest mmo experience of all time. I love and miss that golden era eso experience. It wasn't about the farm. It was about the pride of achievement and right to earn a different playstyle. With master weapon and maelstrom. That feel good feeling is gone. whats the point of achieving anything. What the point of reaching the top of the mountain. Their isnt anything rare to achieve, nothing unique. I seen the gameplay at a rich and amazing experience. Smh this version of eso is missing all the amazing connection to invite your time to achieve rewards that make your gameplay more powerful. Every nerf like off balance is making gameplay more more dull.

    Yeah I kinda see OPs point. Master dual wield axes(bleed NERF completely as well as Rending slashes NERF) Resto staff from VMA, perfected Asylum destro or master bow(back when this done waaaay better dot damage and the 250% execute was around). All skills nerfed or somewhat nerfed to make them crap.

    Dropped master bow in PvP for Potentates bow and it's 10x better.

    Actually, a bad player is a bad player with or without the bis. Inexperienced players will still be that.

    So I am having trouble understanding why you are upset now.... :|

    There have been many changes before these new ones about to say hello to us. Yes, the PvP combat has been watered down. Just remember the dot fun, lol.

    If you’re experienced in really knowing the classes and are a decent player how are potatoes a threat, Cx.

    I mean most don’t block, they stand there, or turn their backs and try to run away :D

    Even a bunch of so-so players in a Zerg against veteran small scalers is going to be a slaughter.

    The ‘for sale skill lines’ didn’t even help them.

    Anyway enjoy that other game. :)

    I'm mediocre at best, on a very good day, a carrot to the potatoes. I can't count how many times I've tossed an aurora javelin at some "self proclaimed / highly experienced" veteran players that were easily baited to a cliff and tossed off to their death, without even being sneaky about it.

    Changes come, changes go. Change is inevitable. Some good, some bad, always in favor for someone and a singled out conspiracy against others.

    As for the OP, hope they do have fun in their ventures there. Although, they're in for a shock once they learn that FFXIV is basically a loot pinata that goes through similar balance changes.

    I remember when crafted gear was better than dropped gear and then suddenly that changed and veteran players complained that casual gamers would get to their level just because of a gear combination instead of skill...

    Out of curiosity, how does one know when to block in PvP? In PvE there are these lines to indicate a need to block or interrupt. No such lines show for me when in PvP combat. Or I should say trying to prolong the inevitable demise as I attempt to defend my fishing hole.

    Oh dearie me no.

    It's about new content.

    ZO - or any other developer - have little respect for or place much value in the grind you did yesterday. Their primary interest is in the grind you might do, and ideally pay for in some respect, tomorrow.
