Putting dragons to sleep as my 5yo calls it; is costing me a fortune!
Porting around, dying repeatedly to these magnificently overpowered group event creatures has been loads of fun, but I can’t keep it up forever.
These nightly excursions are evaporating my funds at an alarming rate! Gimme some more of them purple dragons treasures please!

Also, dying less might help with repair bills.

✭✭✭Who's been charging you for dragon hunting?!? I can get you better prices. You've clearly fallen into a tourist trap, locals only pay the SECA (Southern Elsweyr Cleaner's Association) a modest monthly fee for hard to remove blood and gore stains.25 -
Kahlis✭✭If it's prime time you actually can hang around the same area and wait for the next Dragon to land go harvest some resources or something in the meantime. Or as others have said ... walk, run, ride to the nearest wayshrine.6

✭Here's some tips to save money:
-Use repair kits instead of repairing at vendors, it's a lot cheaper, you just need to shop around for repair kits. Tamriel Trade Center helps
-Make suicide potions (ravage health) and use the Equilibrium skill together to die and insta tele to the nearest wayshrine for free, meaning no costly manual teleports. It does damage your armor, but it's still a lot cheaper than constantly manual teleporting, and a lot faster than running to wayshrines. You can take off your armor first to avoid it damaging it if you want.4 -

✭✭✭✭✭Also be sure to do the Dragon Hunting daily quests while you’re farming. You can pick the quest up yourself once and then get a share from another player to do it again within the same day. (And that should work for each Elsweyr zone, for a possible total of 4 dailies.) While motifs definitely aren’t guaranteed in the reward coffers, they can sell decently, as does the Anequina style mat (Shimmering Sand), which drops from Northern Elsweyr dragon hunt daily quest coffers and can also be gotten from deconning gear.
You didn’t specify (unless I missed it) whether you’re doing Northern or Southern Elsweyr, but if you have access to Southern E. it’s worth it to improve the Dragonguard Sanctum at least to get the Good Bits quest and enable Dragon Rheum drops, as another poster mentioned. Dragon Blood and Bile sell for less than Rheum but at least one of those does alright (a few hundred gold each) last I checked.1 -

✭✭Princess Elsa doesn’t have time for all this quest stuff.
She goes to hunt dragons and put them to sleep. Then immediately rush off to the next one. They’re spread out pretty far and tuff to get to.
We’re working on that dying less thing, but it’s kind of tuff.1 -
Nanfoodle✭✭✭✭✭When I started out, when my I was level 30ish when I started playing. It was costly, dying 5-6 times a fight. On a mount so slow I had to not use wayshrines every 2nd or 3rd dragon. It was costly. Around CP300 it got way cheaper and rarely died. My mount was fast enough I could always use wayshrines and still get at the dragon near the start of the fight. Some drops selling for 120k on guild vendor. It does get better.0 -

✭✭I actually use my PVP gear when dragon hunting, less damage to it and I'm still hitting 15k or so dps, 30kish in execute range.

If in ne, miss Elsa needs to dive off a cliff, hit r and she will magically manifest in a conveniwnt spot
Anyway Elsa has a horse now (spoilers) so she can also have the beastie carry her to avoidfast travel
If dragon hunting is only expensive because you are still refining your techniques then that is the price to pay2 -

✭✭✭✭✭Get in a group and open your map after a kill. See what wayshrine your group has ported to, press P, right click a member's name who has ported, select "Travel to player", and port for free.0 -

✭If you are on PC, go DL Easytravel and then you can port to anyone in one of your guilds from the command line by typing /tp north or south.
If you are grouped with others, port to one of them once they go to a wayshrine...
I can't remember the last time I paid for a port to a wayshrine.
