Seeing the increased activity on this forum, I decided to share one of my older projects, started during the Summerset expansion.
One of the things that fascinated me with ancient civilizations is how they managed hygine. Once I visited the sophisticated public bath of Pompeii, and was amazed of the importance put by the ancient Romans on bathing and exercising. Also it is known that in the ancient times many cultures saw hygine as something important. This importance decreased in the middle ages in Europe, and we tend to see fantasy games inspired by the medieval world, devoid of public baths and amenities, which were very important to the society in antiquity.
So I wondered myself... how do people in Tamriel manage?
That's why I decided to have a proper bath and toilet in the sophisticated Alinor, to have my guests fully enjoy the Altmer high standard of living
In my townhouse, the bathroom is on the left:
View from the entrance:
Opposed corner view:
Functional sink with drain (I have a similar one in the kitchen) :
Bathtub close-up:
The toilet - probably the only one in Tamriel using... discarded scrolls
View from the bathtub
I hope you enjoyed this and thanks for any feedback you might have!
P.S.
I also want to thank to
@Carbonised for helping me craft some furnishings used in this bathroom and in my Alinor house. Your houses are inspiring and motivated me to work on my own!
