Can we get more character slots pretty please???

Any update on this? purchasable or otherwise?? We really need 1 or 2 more slots to 19-20! pretty please??

Yes please! 25 would be nice, to be honest.I don't have my current account filled, but as a roleplayer, I'd like to have more space on a single account to accommodate more characters in my arsenal as inspiration strikes.

I tried asking a few times in chat on Twitch during Bethesda's last ESO live stream, but I never got a response from @ZOS_GinaBruno or anything.

I hope they allow us to purchase at LEAST 2 more character slots this year.

But seriously I am sure Zos will eventually add more slots that can be purchased.

However, it seems that the total number of characters available on the server have an effect on server performance. I say this because part of Zos' performance improvement plan is to move dormant accounts into a cold storage so the server will not need to deal with as many characters when we are logging into the game.

So Zos will likely want to finish this performance improvement plan before considering adding more character. Even then they will likely be cautious with how many more slots they let us buy because server performance is more important in the short and long run.

They probably won't add any more character slots until they release a new class for the game. I wouldn't look for this until the chapter after Greymoor at the earliest.

Zos has added a character slot when a new class was not being added.

I would love to have the option for as many as 24, so you can have 4 of each class...alternately I would love to see a better system for changing builds. I would love to be able to click a button and change SKILLS/CP/ETC with a single click. I wouldn't mind there being a gold cost, just want to streamline the mechanism.

i am not sure why they are so stingy with providing more character slots even for purchase to be honest...more characters most likely also means more money spent on the game and the load on the server can hardly be that great since you can only log in with one character at a time anyway...?

Zos has added a character slot when a new class was not being added.

I'm not saying they didn't. I'm just suggesting that they probably won't until they release a new class. That's also generally when they get the most pressure from the community. It seems to happen every two or three chapters.

Edit: I'm also totally for this, btw. I'd love another couple of character slots. I'm just being realistic.

Pro Tip: Buy another account.

It has 8 more character slots with the option to upgrade to 18.

18 is plenty for one account. You don't need more ... and ZOS likely isn't going to release more until a new class debuts (as mentioned above).

Bottom Line: If players have an unusual playstyle which requires as many characters as possible, at some point you'll have to spend real life money to support that unusual playstyle.

i mean you also have to spend money when unlocking a new character slot and you are much more likely to buy crown items on a new character... and a lot of people - including myself - dont want a second account... i am not sure what the drawbacks for zos are?

I would want more option for more storage especailly for sets instead of more character
I even cant understand for wha people need that badly to have so many character at once on same server, platform
defeinitelly not to play them all at once and I doubt they will have even gear just for themselfes without needed spawing gear from 1 char to another...if someone have these 18 chars...I just dont see how he have his perfect build setups on every single character outside keeping it only for casual RP.....and this is getting to insane lvl

if I ocould have better storage management I dont think I would need more than 4-6 slots for characters just for real play

Some of us do both pvp and pve and would like variety. Think of at least 1 tank, 1 healer, 1 mag dps, and 1 stam dps for each class for both pve and pvp. That alone is 48 different characters, but I'd happily settle for 25 😉

My guess is that we will see a new slot when Greymoor gets closer so we can "experience the new chapter" with a new character.

No, I really love sorcs.

So I would like
8 sorcs
6 templars
2 NB's (not crazy, but some of my characters roll that way)
6 wardens
6 DK's
4 to play with Necromancer
Then 2 more because I will get weird ideas and have to try them out.

So that makes 32. That should be okay for now. Or maybe just round up to 40. Yeah, that would be better.

what has the history with the other chapters been? Cant remember if we got additional slots when summerset came out...

Not for Summerset but for the Level Up Reward System they added.
