Returning player mouse cursor issue at launch

john.economoub14_ESO
Good day everyone. It's been about a year since I last played. I updated the software and it did prompt to repair which I allowed. So here is the problem. I have 3 monitors. I play ESO in the left most monitor. When I start the game, both the middle and left turn black as if loading. Then in the left monitor, the game launches just fine but no matter what i try, it locks my cursor out of the screen so I can't proceed. Using the Enter button and left/right arrows does nothing either. I have tried keeping the cursor all the way to the left of the left monitor but once it launches, the cursor shows up in the middle monitor. As I said, that middle monitor is also black which I don't really understand. The right monitor stays normal desktop. Any suggestions?

    I have 3 monitors myself.

Is your left monitor your primary display? if it isn't, try making it the primary just to see if it then puts the cursor on that monitor when the game loads. I play the game in Windowed Fullscreen so I can move the cursor to other screens without using alt-tab.

When I bought my Nvidia 1070 I started having the black screens also when starting ESO in fullscreen. Two of my monitors where connected with DVI connections. One was DVI to DVI, the other was DVI to Displayport. The third monitor was HDMI to HDMI.

What fixed the DVI connected ones from going black was using the HDMI on those two monitors. HDMI to Displayport.

I don't know what connections your monitors have. But that would be something to think about, switching the type of connections if you can.

I just did a little test. My center monitor is my Primary display. I started ESO, went in to the display options on the sign in page, set the game to fullscreen and for it to open on my left screen. closed the game completely

I restarted the game. It started on the left screen with the cursor on that screen. So I don't know why yours doesn't.

Try switching to Windowed Fullscreen or just Windowed mode and see if you still have issues with your mouse cursor. You can find instructions on changing display modes here.
