What is walks-in-ash's position?

I've always been a grumbler about questlines feeling too disjointed, so I try to know what I can about the characters that do recur.

I have always wondered what the deal is with Walks-in-Ash. She's introduced as just a random argonian that keeps showing up at big moments for some reason, as opposed to tanval or holgun that have actual jobs as army commanders.

But I was playing the other day and at one point during the balreth quest, while clicking through dialogue options, one if the things you say to her is "how are you enjoying your new position?" What? What new position? Who is this lizard?

She helped the Vicecanon Heita-Meen defeat the Akaviri and join up with the Ebonheart Pact. In Stonefalls, she's the main Argonian representative.

She is the Argonian presence that helps reinforce the idea that the Pact is working together. Just like Holgunn and Tanval are the Nord and Dark Elf representatives.

Thanks. I guess I still don't know what the "new position" refers to, but i didn't realize she's another veteran and associate of heita meen, which explains things somewhat.
