I guess you guys are right. They can make more money off someone creating a new character then alliance changing. I do think it's funny when people think it would be a "database nightmare". We sent people to the moon so I'm sure we can figure out how to change alliances in a video game.

It was not ZOS who sent people to the moon. I somehow doubt they’d be willing to outsource to NASA.
