Can we stop tracking forums visits?

    2636 since June of 2018. Odd thing is I've only had to re-login a few times IIRC - I just tell the login to remember me. So I think it must count opening the General Discussion part of the site as a "visit". The last time the site logged me out was when vanilla snafu'd. I don't remember how long ago that was now.

    What makes it worse for people like OP is when people like me who have been playing essentially since launch have just over 1k visits in 6 years. Though the saving grace to that is, like others, I don't check it at home and just leave it open all day at work.

    Technically i've been playing since the beta. I just didn't know how to make a forum account.

    Must be stalker views then rather than logins no then?

    This one is quite sure she has not herself logged in 7,000 times as that would require at least 5,000 password changes.

    3,899 since January 2014. And for the first year after release I didn't own the game, I just visited the forum periodically to see what the current state was, waiting for something which would convince me it was worth paying a subscription. (Then what happened instead was they dropped the sub, I ordered the game as soon as the news was official and registered just under 30 days before the switch over, so my free month let me play right up to the change.)

    But then I tend to visit the forum while doing other things, so I'll read one or two topics, leave, come back, read another topic etc. rather than going through everything in one go.

    been here since November 2013 and my number of Visits is 206.

    so, i don't see the issue but then again, i don't frequent these forums alot. I mainly just go on them when I either feel like it or when I wanna know what's the latest thing in discussion. Which admittedly since the reveal of the Vampire Revamp I have been frequenting more often due to my own personal hype around it.

    but regardless, yeah i don't have an issue with Forum Visits tracking.

    Joined September 2013, Visits 4,110. I'm surprised it is that low. Then again I keep a browser with the forum open in a tab all day. Good thing that it is not tracking hours!

    I mean when you have to log in, entering your username and password and not when you're already logged in when visiting the site.

    It doesn't seem to be the action of logging in, though, because I have 1805 and I definitely haven't logged in 1805 times - I always have a tab open that I refresh from time to time, so basically I'm always logged in, more or less. Just tested it a bit and the number does seem to go up when refreshing, but not everytime. Maybe a certain time period needs to have elapsed before another visit is registered?
    This poor little Bosmer stealth passive had passionate friends and a big loving family!

    I wonder how it keeps track/what it's actually keeping track of. I've got a browser window in the background that I use to bounce between several forums (ESO, STO, Battletech, etc) so I'm not surprised at the number, but I don't have to constantly 'log in'. They're all set to remember me. /shrug

    I have been a member since July 2015 and have 202 visits. I would hate to see what I had in other MMOs I've played.

    I started in 2019 and had only 300 forum visits until I quit my side job of cat juggling. Having more time I'm now up to 1284.

    So many visits. Way too many visits. But I have the Dev Tracker open in a background tab of my laptop browser on launch. Every time I open the browser at work it counts as a visit.

    It's a meaningless metric. If I close my browser window, relaunch, and go to this site again I'm pretty sure it counts it as a separate "visit." Or if I view on a different device, it's a different "visit."
