I remember having some of them on a character, we was doing PvE in Cyrodil and inventory started to get full, for some reason I ate one, probably planned to delete them.So I heard about people making suicide potions in order to circumvent the stuck in combat bug, so I tested it m,self.
I can confirm that suicide pots do indeed remove the combat bug, I tried it in 15 scenarios and it worked every time.
Just wanted to let the masses know. 💚
I tried that on a build with modest HP recovery (just under 1k, IIRC) - unfortunately, it's a total wash unless you also have a convenient cliff or keep wall to suicide from... at which point the potion is kinda redundant anyway.
And before anyone asks - yes, I used the "double ravage health" version (ravage + lingering ravage).
Also if there's anyone around, they will usually heal you, preventing you from suiciding

Were you in a group with other members of the group in combat when you tested this? That is usually the problem.
A few times I just let myself killed by resource NPC guards, jumped with the horse from cliffs or to the slaughterfish in the river because I simply could not get rid of it after sneaking with the eye fully closed literally from one keep to the next.

i am using ravage health potions too and its indeed quick way how to get rid of combat bug.
but this isnt solution for it. they still searching what is causing this but solution can be easier. just add new mechanic to game - when you dont damage anything and when you take no damage in one minute, combat is reset.
it doesnt matter if you play solo or in group, combat stuck is still there . but i noticed when i for example damage enemy in zerg or ballgroup ( i enter to combat with that enemy ) and then i go away, as long as that enemy is in combat with someone else, i am in combat with him as well
Go to crown store, combat removed.
The SiC bug is awful. If PvP'ers want to keep a score of their Kills/Death ratio, we will have to consider our own suicides now.
What about that bug where you're BURNING, and have 47,489 days to go until the burn stops --
Because of this bug heroism buff will work only in combat. I wonder how bomblades will handle this, because minor heroism pots now useless for charging ults before attacking.
If being unable to mount and I'm in combat and I can't be bothered to just run, I simply look for the nearest thing to harvest - platinum, imp stool, ore - it don't matter. Once harvested you not in combat anymore and you got something usefull - either that or just kill everything in siught!

Now this give me an troll idea, queue for an group dungeon with 3 friends, probably need to pug tank as he will survive this and not pug healer, it should be an easy one like wayrest 1 or darkshade 1, all 3 drink this potion just before engaging first trash, look at reaction from tank
Suicide potions are pretty useful for other things too, although it doesn't work immediately unless you also use something like that Equilibrium skill from the Mages guild 2-3 times before drinking the potion
I use them to make travelling quicker. Inside a delve and don't want to wait for something to kill you, or wait for that slow teleport that costs money? Suicide potions brings you back to the start of it
In a new zone on a new character and you want to get to that wayshrine nearby but there's a mountain in the way and you would have to go halfway around the zone to get to it? Suicide potion
Any other situation where you need to get to a wayshrine and don't want to spend the gold and time on a slow teleport, basically.
It wrecks your armor, which eventually needs to be repaired (you can take all your armor off first if you care enough), but it's a lot cheaper to repair your armor once every long while than it is to manually slow-teleport constantly, especially when it's still at 1k+ gold when you've teleported recently
