QOL suggestion - revisit crafting survey locations

I don't mind doing the crafting surveys I get each week. They stack up and I do a little run around Tamriel picking them up. But some are put in frustrating locales that are inconvenient to reach. (I'm looking at you, Shadowfen!) Can you guys consider relocating some of these nodes to be a little more "wayshrine-adjacent" and a lot less "stuck underneath a world boss in craggy rocks after a long swim 2 minutes from the wayshrine". I'm a crafter, not a triathlete, after all.

FWIW, many are fine. It's just a few of them that are a giant pain. I feel like I'm being punished when I get those.

I'm pretty sure whoever chose the locations for any/all of the Malabal Tor surveys looked at the map and said "let's find the points on this map that are as geographically far from a wayshrine as possible, and put the surveys there".
doesn't help that it's the least remarkable zone in the game, and that there's at least two crevices that you can legitimately get stuck in/can't escape from, if you fall into them.

also, where's my Summerset surveys? ZOS makes the most breathtaking zone with some of the most relaxing music, and doesn't even give us an excuse to poke around for mats there.
Shortly after the formation of the Ebonheart Pact, a Nord woman was given a tour of the Tribunal Temple. When later asked about the experience, she seemed upset. Suffice to say, the Dunmer were not pleased to hear this, and thus they inquired further.
"Well," the Nord frowned, "the priests were very angry and unwelcoming. They kept shouting things at me like "you can't drink that mead in here!" and "somebody stop her, she's running naked!" and "we can't catch her; she's covered in grease!""

That too. Though I found a shortcut running up a cliff that makes it easier to get to.

I have fond memories of when Craglorn Enchanting III was guarded by deadly wasps and was the only Enchanting survey that dropped in Craglorn.

Just had elsweyr enchant survey, right next to a dragon, could have picked it up if a group didn’t come by and attack the dragon, the enchant survey is within the dragons agro range so everything within it becomes targeted gg zenimax gg.

P.s. the alchemy survey in elsweyr could also do with being made a bit more visible not so disguised within the tall foliage too.

The only ones in Wrothgar I have an issue with is in NW, woodworking 1 and blacksmithing 3, they're way too far. Then there's a few in Craglorn, I usually end up deleting those. I still have trouble navigating that zone, lol

Just wait until you have like 5 or more of them, then they're much more time efficient to pick up!

    I agree.
There was a novelty of about a week after One Tamriel dropped.

But let's revert. To get surveys from the zone you drop off in.

I'm sat on nigh on 100 as I can't be bothered. I wait to have 4-5 the same then go do them.

And for console, can we have them added to the map once we've found them once?

Some of the survey locations are a pain to get to.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

The ESO App (iPhone, not sure about other phones) is amaaaaaazing for this. The paid version lets you keep track of multiple characters’ lorebooks, fishing, skyshards, all that. Sure it’s not in-game, but us console plebs need to find help wherever we can. Gives us character ;)

There are ones I won't do just because they're painful to get to (Reaper's jewelry and woodworking, Malabal alchemy, Rivenspire blacksmithing etc.) or because I'm just not into killing my way to get to them. I get so many it's not worth bothering with the pain-point ones.

Have to always go to the wayshrine north of the survey, rather than south of it, in Craglorn.

Easy to drop down the cliff, if necessary, whereas it's obviously impossible to climb up.
