Posting for a guildmate. PS4 NA, He can’t create or join a group. It’s only happening on one of his characters. The others are fine. He said he submitted a support ticket but hasn’t got a response. It’s only on the one character.

Anyone have a possible solution to this?
Guildy is ready to uninstall the game.

    ....
    1. What is the XP Level and the Class of the character which cannot join a group?
    2. What is the role that he chooses for the character?
    3. How many characters does he have?
    4. Also, is the one that cannot group the first character which he created, or is it perhaps the most recent one?
    5. Has he changed the order in which characters are listed along the right edge of the Character Select screen?

If he knows the Support ticket number, then please provide that information so that the forum staff can check it.

If he doesn't recall the ticket number, then he should be able to see the number and its status on the "My Support" tab after logging-in to Support. If his report is not listed, then it probably has not been received, unless it is waiting in a queue for a response. Which leads to the question: what are the date and time at which he submitted the request to Support?

Ok, so I have more information about this issue. Guildmate was in Wayrest Sewers I when the bug occurred. Social status shows the character is NOT in any group. When I tried to group him it says he’s in a group. He submitted a support ticket 200131-002631.

While discussing this issue in guild chat, another guildmate says he has had the same issue on one of his characters for over 2 weeks. This guildy said it happened two days prior to the Wayrest issue. He stated that CS told him this is a known bug and there was nothing they can do to fix it. According to him it got to the point that they told him they would no longer respond to his ticket.

So, it seems to me that the game thinks the character is in a dungeon group even though they are not. I don’t see why CS can’t just reset his character or move his character to a different location? Either way, they both feel like nothing is being done.

I’d also like to add that he’s deleted the game completely and reinstalled it. No fix.

Have your friend check the privacy settings for the character on the console. This happened to me on Xbox. I couldn't talk to people or do anything with groups. I had something set to "friends only" and it needed to be set to "everyone." It was in some social setting on the console, not in the game. I'm sorry, I'm not in front of the console right now so I can't point you right to the setting.

But if it was a console privacy setting wouldn’t it happen on all of his characters? Only one character is having the issue. I’ve been digging in the archives and it seems this has been a bug for a very, very long time.
