Ok, let's talk about cooldowns rather than animation cancelling. Put LAs and skills on the same cooldown!

Go play WoW classic if you want a slow clunky archaic turn based MMO.

The speed will be exactly the same with the change I propose, you just won't have to press 2 buttons to do one thing every damn time.

Also, if you want to play a *** flash game from the early 2000s where the objective is to just mindlessly click the mouse, you can save 100 GB on your disk...

or just learn how to properly use it

I'm using it all the time. I'm just not making my self-worth dependent on my ability to mindlessly click the mouse every second, and can see how it puts people off of playing the game.

I don't want the game to die, but you apparently don't care as long as you can swing around your enormous epeen.

    AC is a L2P issue.

Actually it's more of a L2Design a good combat system issue.

    AC is a L2P issue.

That takes a simple mind to say that. There are some issues that factor into AC. TCP, lag spikes, people with disabilities, old people like myself that don't have eye hand coordination, and a host of other issues that will creep up now and then. Should people be punished for not being able to AC? I can do a rotation and AC with lag spikes and hit 22k dps on average. In the past I was able to hit 30 to 45k dps consistently with my old magsorc. Get good/L2P doesn't help when you are already capped out on low dps via poor server performance/lag and the dreaded nerfbat.

I'm just wondering when the elite players and the devs will realize that there are other individuals out there that have given their all and can't do anymore. Do the devs raise up the damage or lower the requirements for harder content? It's problematic for those players "that worked hard to git good/L2P" while they think others are just sliding along for the ride. It's not so. A lot of players hit between 5k to 15k dps on average and will never go any higher. I've never dropped or left a dungeon with a low dps players ever. We are all just having fun just staying alive as it should be.

For those that want to rush thru dungeon content just to say "we did it in 10 mins!" more power to you. It seems there is a unwritten rule within the elite community "that if you cannot output X amount of dps, you cannot do this particular content" with us attitude. Saying "GIT GOOD" doesn't help and you can only go so far with L2P. So what is left for the vast majority of players? I do feel sorry for those that have the "skills" for AC/higher dps and brag about it. Eventually, they will get hit with something in the future and not be able to perform like they did in the past. Also, It doesn't help those that see individuals with BIS gear on youtube doing harder content because ave joe player will never see or use bis gear. What's really sad, is that I can do about 30k dps while transformed into a WEREWOLF. Might as well stick with that instead of a class eh?

I guess in the end the elitist attitude will win out and leave everyone else in the dust. "You can still do that 90% of the content, just not the other 10%... GIT GOOD LOL give me a break.

What a soap opera seriously. Making yourself the big victim of all the evil elitists while having zero understanding of actual endgame. You can expect zero pity if you victimize yourself that hard and blame all your shortcomings in game on other factors than yourself. There are literal one bar heavy attack builds out there that can pull decent DPS. You can do all vet trials in the game at the moment with 20k DPS. Vet DLC dungeons get nerfed regularly and apparently trials as well if we look at what ZoS intends for vHoF on the current PTS. The powercreep keeps making these things easier and easier. Just because there are meta sets doesn't mean that old sets suddenly became terrible. What do you think we used three to four years ago to clear vet trials? Specifically those old sets. The majority of people that act as if the game design was limiting are just too lazy to properly learn. The amount of people that are truly so impaired by outside factors that they can't do stuff properly in ESO are such a small demographic of the playerbase that ZoS (or any company) wouldn't specifically cater to them.

For anyone who has problems with impairment please check out adaptive controllers. Changing your peripherals can be a gamechanger and I've seen people do incredibly things in games with their feet or elbows.

the max damage you can do is around 85-90k (on dummy ofc, real raids can push 100k+), 40-50k(still on dummy) is where you can do pretty much every veteran content in the game, i can do 60k+ on my stamplar just by weaving one ability.
If you can't do enough for veteran content just go for normal, its all the same in terms of content you get but easier.
You can easy get all bis gear without being endgame player, difference between perfected and normal gear is like 1k damage.

It's L2P issue, like it or not but it will still be L2P.

You can't go to university and ask for math degree without ever attending classes and reading math books, you also can't join a endgame progression guild or some dlc hardmode achivement runs without ever learning how to play this game.

The game caters to all skill levels. Every piece of content has a normal difficulty. No ac required. You can experience it all.

We're not entitled to all achievements. You just need to accept when something is outside of your capability.

Animation cancelling is ridiculous, there I said it, but the earth is not flat. That comparison is also ridiculous.

Can you imagine if you could perform actions that had no visual representation in other games? How about shooting someone on COD, without your gun actually firing and no sound occurring? Can you IMAGINE the uproar about that. Why? Because it would be stupid. You could shoot people before they had chance to aim at you, and everyone would just be sat wondering why they died, while you reloaded in a nanosecond by cancelling that too. The killcam would show them firing no bullets. That would SUCK! Thankfully, COD is a proper game, where every action has an animation, and you can't shortcut it or cancel it without cancelling the action itself. That's how it should be, why this isn't attainable for ESO is beyond me.

Been accused of cheating, hacking and using macros more times than I care to remember because I learned to properly weave light attacks. Even had a couple of people bragging that they reported me.
It is purely a visual issue, you CANNOT bypass the global cooldown with animation cancelling, mechanically/numerically everything is working as it should.

It's really quite easy to learn how to do it and more people should do so instead of complaining about it, it will increase your damage significantly and it's a normal part of the game, has been forever, as far as I'm aware.
