Do player notes get preserved?

In the guild roster, we can have notes attached to us.

Do those notes get kept in the system upon leaving the guild, or are they discarded?

Reason: I’ve got one too many trading guilds so I need to choose one to leave. But if I later want to pick that guild back up I want to know if my dues payment history will reappear upon returning to that guild.

I'm pretty sure they are not preserved.

You could test it with one of your guilds. Have an officer make a backup of your note and then leave and rejoin the guild to see if the note reappears automatically or if the officer has to add it manually.

They arent preserved to my experience

We had a situation were a put a note on the member in the roster but the guy ended up leaving the guild due to that situation
When we took him back a few month later the note was gone, I wrote it back

Sorry but if he go afk to make himself a sandwich he should wait after the trial boss fight

Talk to the guild leadership to see how they handle record-keeping. They may have their own spreadsheets to keep track of member activity. Even if they don't, they may be able to make a note of your current status in case you return.

You can also take a screenshot of your current note if you need it later for reference or proof.
