On Roleplaying, Depth and Intensity(personal accounting) Inspired from antiquity thread.

I would consider how I play to be Heavily Roleplayed.
I do not consider myself to be my in game Character. She is her own entity, with passions, likes, hobbies, moralities, opinions all separate from my own. I imagine it like a living story that evolves and tells itself in my head. I use the elder scrolls universe as the medium and the game as a place to layout all the different adventures and activities.

I play an Altmeri Women. She has her own through backstory. which I dont need to elaborate on right here. But in game to give the depth of roleplaying,

I fill her memento and collectible wheel and emote wheel with specific things.

Altmer hairstyles like dominion war-locks
Dominion circlet,
Alinor twilight dancing dress, ever auridon gown.
Psijiic style outfit,
Dawnwood indrik mount, Orchid Nixad.
Cherry Blossom Memento,
Duchess Personality

I even dye my outfits and costumes with altmer themed named dyes, Welkynd blue, Starlight Gold,

I even launder and carry Alinor stolen goods to bring even more depth to her personality and story,
Pure Language Pearl
Gryphon down pillow
Swanglass Decanter
Triptych Vanity Mirror
Vineyard Chalice

and I even Gave her a theme that I tried to incorporate in her gear (while also staying viable for content)

Warden healer so she is a Priestess of Jephre,
Chokethorn cause her green magic spawns life.
Olorime proud altmeri armor named from a brave welkynar,
(and jourvulds not altmer but makes me ready for dungeons lol)

My Emotes
glowglobe
Lute
Dance High elf
pray
rake( i like to help the priests in auridon)
Flirt
tilt head
Drink from bottle (cause the bottle is a high elf one)
All different actions an altmer women could be caught doing around town.

Not to forget my homestead, which is roleplayer paradise
A Multimillion gold multi thousand crown Masterpeice in the
Grand Psijiic Villa.
Fully altmer and alinor styled with contemplation gardens cherry blossom wonderland,
outdoor party vinyard areas. Multiple Shrines and Prayer Sites,
Full Museum of Ancient Crystals and Relics,
Grand Library,
Throne Room and Dining Hall,
Huge pool and private spas,
Custom built outdoor waterfall bedrooms,
Custom built Artist Loft.

All Alinor Pets
Gryphon, Indriks, Nixads, Domino pig!

This is all just how my account and she exsists in the server. Not me activly roleplaying or doing anything just the way she is built and set up. How I spend my time ingame with her is a heavy mix depending on the activities. but i spend most all of it within summerset, Delves Worldbosses, Dailies, Farming in Artaeum, Fishing, Direnni Crypt Delving for recipes. I tend to fantasize Lots of adventures and quests for her but ill keep all that to myself.

Anywhoo this is how far of depth I take my characters for an example of roleplaying and the vision I keep for my Characters.

I do this with every one of my 8 different toons, All customized to a depth similar to this.

AND IF ANYONE THAT LOVES ALTMER REMEMBERS THE OLD QUEST DIALOUGE THAT WAS DATAMINED ON RELEASE.
I have had this gamertag since it was discovered and have always loved the secret of being The Numinous One. That is the level of roleplay my brain takes it. that my Gamertag and Moniker is what the Altmer Peoples Reffered to our player Charaters Prior to the game releaseing, Befor The Vestige was a thing.

https://www.reddit.com/r/teslore/comments/2ze651/datamine_previous_future_aldmeri_dominion/

* Small tidbit for future ways to customize even further, I will be very thrilled to find ancient Aldmeric Relics and Mythic Items from times past,
* Maybe even Syrabanes ring, or some other Aedric Artifact. A reason to explore even further into my precious summersets past and history is something i eagerly await.

How about yall?

I do very much the same. I don't rp in game but each of my characters has a unique backstory even down to the build as you have done.

For the most part, you can tailor the story any way you like post 1t. I have several characters that are not vestiges, characters that never do any alliance storylines as they are trying to help anyone who needs it and aren't tied to any one alliance.

My second character made in ESO is a character I built in TesIV as a vampire and carried through to TesV, and was very happy to be able to flesh out the backstory for that immortal in ESO. But I think that one may be shelved soon as the vamp changes that are incoming do not suit that story.

My character is Imperial male. That's how I RP:
    - I start exploring one zone, say, Morrowind, and stay there until it is fully done. I never use fast travel. I often toggle walk mode and ride my mount slowly, enjoying the environment.
    - I try to stick to some inn/tavern or some camp in the wilds. I try to return there by night.
    - I try to "leave" my mount in some comfortable location: stables, or a safe place in the wilds.
    - Mount is of great importance. It is always a local one. Camel in Alik'r, Senche-Raht in Elsweyr, Guar in Morrowind, Lizard Wolf in Murkmire, etc.
    - A pet is always the same: Daedrat. He escaped Coldharbour with my Imperial and they travel together since that time.
    - I have at least 2 looks for each zone: for exploration and having rest in the city. Clothes always fit the climate. I use a hood while it is raining, and a turban with a face mask during sandstorm/ashfall. I'm so greatful to ZOS for Skaal style! Now I have truly warm winter clothes. I use local weapons - I imagine them to be some kind of a reward, like Buoyant Armiger sword gifted by Vivek.
    - Personalities fit the situation. Commander was my main, but now I enjoy Swashbuckler. Thief when I need to tresspass, Treasure Hunter in delves and public dungeons.
    - Sadly, I don't use emotes and mementos much. Need to work on that.

I usually have a single main character, that based on what i would do.

In Skyrim my character's origin story is, that he is the same character from Oblivion who became Vampire at some point. He spent the last 2 century ruling the islands, and got bored of it, and degraded by it. At some point he no longer went out to do anything, but sent the daedra instead. Which had his skills suffer, and explains why he must re-learn.

First he sent his servant to find the real Sheogorath, but after waiting sometime he decided to move out, and do it himself. He heard rumors to investigate in Solitude's Blue palace. Which is why he crossed the border.

Now as an ageless vampire this character could be connected to ESO. He was a vampire since the whole time. Regardless of side he sided with Tiber Septim at some point, because he wanted to end the war, and as Dragonborn Tiber had a legitimate claim on the throne. More, than any other.

He is not the Nerevarine though. Partly, because i don't like Morrowind, and because that's a bit too much prophecy, and destiny. Also would make no sense to get the whole corpus mess as a vampire.

The dragons messed with this potential story as it should reveal the character as dragonborn. Unless he became like that later, if such thing is possible. Might have did something with Tiber Septim's death. Either, because of need, or simply for power, or maybe for revenge.

My characters are puppets that I control for fun. I throw them at big bad bosses. I do take some time making them an outfit that fits their typical role, but other than that I don't really role play them. I'm never "in character" while playing. I look through my own eyes, not through my characters'. But respect for your dedication.

This one has no idea what you are talking about. Neither do this one's 17 khajiit. Ironically, this one's argonian has a look reminiscent of the cat who ate the bird, but if he knows anything, he is not "erecting the spine of explanation" or whatever his silly expression would be.

I am quite like you, You inspired me in other ways
If you want to use a Mementos ....Might I recommend the Darker Nights Addon And Treasure Seeker Personality and use Almalexia's Enchanted Lantern (Momento) as a light source since Treasure seeker torches does not do it justice !
I am making a post soon about RPing and will use your ideas I hope you dont mind :D

Nord country girl on world tour with her friends Bear and Wolf. Seen things no one would belief at home. Most of the time she just talks to Bear and Wolf, to other only when really needed. Not a princess, only functional clothing for any climate zone.
