@TheAstaroath Some players are civic, others are not: d*cks might be everywhere, as it happens IRL.

If I see someone using a chest/psijic portal I don't approach them. I will only approach if I see the player going away from that node. Some might leave unwanted items not allowing the node to respawn...

Regarding your suggestions to change nods, I don't agree with any of them. Resource nodes are fine as they are.

Same here. And I don't get ragey and post a gripe in zone chat if I come across a node that has nothing but worms, or a chest that has nothing but bronze; I just harvest it and move on.

Hey its just the way the cookie crumbles...

...but if you can see another player is right next to a node and you swipe it from them, pretty lame behaviour.....

BE NICE TO YOUR FELLOW PLAYERS......

lol wow, mental gymnastics much there bud? I'm pretty sure when you go to explain to a jury that you used lethal force on some jerk who nabbed that $5 that you found on the street because it was your property and therefore you had the right to kill them, you'll be going to jail. And yes, I used $5 as opposed to your 100, because the contents of that chest were pretty worthless. 1-2k gold roughly.

I get it though, I really do. The first time I EVER saw a purple item in a chest, I was having inventory mgmt issues, and had to make room, and another player came in and nabbed the entire chest. I had no idea at the time those paintings weren't worth much either, but I doubt if knowing that would've made much difference to newb me. Knowing it now, and the fact that they thought they were gonna get a nice chest but instead got all my lvl 10 garbage and a purple painting is fine though. However, I don't recall feeling inclined towards lethal force over the contents of the chest at that time.

Anywho, heres the real issue with your complaint/solution - How does it make ZOS money, as opposed to them losing money? Inventory mgmt is jokingly referred to as the real end game often, and inventory mgmt is the real driving force behind ESO+ subscriptions. Even with ESO+, inventory mgmt can still be challenging if you want to take part in all the game has to offer, ppl have been asking for inventory expansions for some time, and not the kind that means you have to go to a storage chest in a house, because thats still inventory mgmt. I imagine many ppl would not have ESO+ if it werent for the inventory perks. Your proposal would have a very small impact on making inventory mgmt less stressful, but anything that does that no matter how small, is less reinforcement and push for ppl to get the sub. At the end of the day, they aren't going to spend time and resources, basically money, on changing the system in such a way that they may possibly make less money. Thats just a bad business decision.

The other problem with this, and the one I take issue with, is how this would impact respawns of chests and nodes. It's annoying enough to come upon a chest or node that another player didn't fully loot when you are farming a zone for weapons or mats, It would be much more frustrating if I came upon one that and I had to wait to empty it to reset it for when I come back around again on a pass. Making all the chests and nodes specific to players in open world would solve that issue, but unfortunately, I don't think that would be a simple task to achieve on their part, it would probably involve a lot of coding and bug issues, and there isn't much incentive for them to work on it in the first place.

Sorry bud, but thats just kinda life in ESO

Just throwing this out there: Anyone who has been around the forums for any length of time has seen the "PLEASE LOOT THE NODES/CHESTS" posts, complaining about leaving things in the nodes/chests they don't want. I certainly agree that a player who swoops in and takes the node/chest while another is fighting a mob is pulling a *** move, but when someone takes it after the OP put it down is borderline. While I would have asked OP if he was taking it, I can see where the other player could assume he didn't want it. It's just digital crap. Not worth raising the BP.

That's why game needs open world PVP. So you can take back what is yours :)

What OP could do about it is make sure they maintain enough inventory space. That was the issue and nothing else. In the end OP was unprepared and lost the day. This isn't an issue for Zos.

    Hello all,

We've had to remove a few non-constructive and baiting comments. Please remember that while it’s alright to disagree or even debate with each other, provoking conflict, baiting, inciting, mocking, etc. is never acceptable on our forums.
