Made a new character but have 2 issues.

First thing, I had to buy an extra character slot because I was at 10 out of 10 characters and wanted an 11th. So I bought it on the crown store but I noticed later it actually gave me 2 extra slots. I was at 10/12. Not complaining but thought that was weird.
Secondly, I made an error when naming my character and only noticed while in game. I have 3 rename character tokens so thought I'd use one of them. The error is just one of the letters in not capitalized but when I attempt to correct it, it says that name is already in use. By me obviously. Won't it allow me to correct my own name?

✭✭1st thing only thing I can think of is you either bought 2 by mistake or you might have recently bought Elsweyr which ads an extra character slot that you may have overlooked.
2nd thing, its possible that someone else is in fact using the name, in the combination of letters your trying to change your one too.
It happens a lot when a player likes a character name and find it taken they try different combinations of letters until they finally get as close as they can to the name they wanted.
If the character is recently created and not leveled much, you could always delete it and create the character again.2 -

It was made this morning. But I've already become a vampire, unlocked inventory space etc etc to prep for lvling up. Re making it is an option I suppose. I did buy the imperial upgrade not too long ago, does that add a character slot as well? I'm almost certain I only bought 1 character slot because the crowns deducted from my total was only 1500. As for the name thing, really annoying, it's just one letter, but it looks out of place. I may have to just suck it up and deal though I suppose.0 -
jlmurra2✭✭✭✭✭If it brothers you now, at this early stage, I recommend deleting, and remaking the character. It will only be more wasteful if you keep developing it, and decide to remake it later.0 -

✭You know how you can name a file in Windows 'smith' and it won't let you rename it to 'Smith' without first renaming it to 'x?'
Maybe it is like that. It is not recognising the name as different solely due to capitalisation.
Might need to contact CS and ask them to do it.0 -

✭You can only capitalize the first letter of a word. Let's say the name you want is DrunkenBrawls, you will have to use either Drunkenbrawls or Drunken Brawls.0 -

It's one of those Argonian Tamrielic type names. Example: Name-His-Name, but in my case I did Name-His-name.
I might just think of a new name. That might be easier.0
