Age old request to increase housing limit

Since you will be once again adding a new feature for housing in the form of artifacts are you any closer to increasing the cap? I also hope there is no limit to how many artifacts you can place in a home. (For example the special effect furnishing) I want to be able to put as many artifacts in my home as possible. So plz zos let us know if you have made any progress in increasing our limit. I for one would love 1400 spots for my notable homes of which I have 15 of. ( they are not full looking homes with this lower limit )

When they talk "housing update!" they usually mean another crown house to monitize

Have you been on the PTS yet and SEEN that Thieve's home??? its like 4 good sized classic houses plus a grotto rolled into one. the 'furnished' version fills you to nearly halfway and looks SOOOOOOO empty. :( I don't need 100 busts and trophy heads in my home ZOS, but 100 more actual furnishings would be great thx. :( Also.... Who's bright idea was it to make those Meridia lights from the Undaunted vendor that change color a "special" category furnishing?! for 100k, like any other achievement furnishing, i should be able to fill my whole Villa up if i want to! ) I mean come on..... seriously??? Next gen consoles are on the horizon. up our limits already- you're about to run out of excuses!

Sadly, there are still performance issues on some platforms that prevent an increase from happening.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

They haven't made any progress and likely won't. The reasons they gave in the ESO Live during April 2019 are still valid - they want performance to work for everyone, including the people who visit your homes.

So it doesn't matter even if your rig could handle doubled item limits. ZOS is going to think of everyone, including those playing with minimum specs.

What if the community agreed that if you crash trying to go to someone's home, too bad.

ESO has recommended hardware requirements, and those are what the limiting factors are for all platforms. If you have hardware that exceeds what is recommended, great. Buy the latest and greatest hardware because you find value in those purchases, not to be catered to or demand special treatment.

That said, if you are much closer to the minimum requirements, I can't guarantee that you won't eventually have issues launching or running ESO. ZOS can't control hardware compatibility or driver support issues caused by other products.

But the furnishing caps aren't getting raised until ZOS feels that the client everybody receives can support it. Not because you bought a new console or because of some highly inappropriate community vote.

I made a post asking why zos have made such huge houses yet again. Someone explained that manynplayers had asked for village type housing. Villages. The issue with asking for villages is the item slot limit...so here we are.

I am willing to pay crowns for smaller homes. How many notable homes can i own? I cant fill them up as i progress on my journeys so once they are at max item level that is it so why would i buy more notable houses

What if they made it so that you have the option to increase the limit, but anyone who tries to enter a house that has that option enabled gets a little warning pop up beforehand to let them know? This way those who's computers can handle it can have more furnishings, and those with lower end computers can simply avoid the houses that may negatively effect their performance.

It's unfortunate, but in order for ZoS to generate income, they must monetize things like inventory, the number of items you can install in a house, etc. This is done so that people buy larger houses for crowns.

I personally don't like the gigantic houses or properties, they seem far to big for one person and more suited for guild houses. But I don't like the limits of the smaller houses, you cannot do much with them because of the limited inventory slots.

I also don't personally like that I have to spend crowns in order to get more inventory slots in a house. Specially since there is no secure way to trade gold for crowns, which means you have to either pay money for crowns, or you have to risk gold for crowns because people do scam others.

I wish that there was some type of safe, direct conversion of gold to crowns and that any houses inventory slots could be increased to the maximum capacity of the highest inventory houses by spending crowns. Someone would still have to buy the crowns, so ZoS still generates revenue, and anyone who earns gold could buy crowns safely. In employing this method, there would be more reason for people to trade gold for crowns, and more people willing to buy crowns to trade for gold, and any house could be maxed for inventory slots. Since houses are instanced, I don't see any issues with this affecting gameplay of anyone.

A great example of the difference between interface/look and feel and functionality.

The PC and console have different interfaces, which is relatively easy to do, but share the same functionality. It’s easy to partition off and separately test interface elements. It’s not a good idea to have two different functions doing the same thing.

I can see why ZOS would want any housing limits to be consistent across all platforms. I’m less sure that their artificial limits on different types of furniture has any merit. When only the top, paid for houses can host all of the trophies in the game, and you keep on dishing out furniture achievements, you’ve got a very poor system.

Yes pls im dying for twice the amount permitted, why are u limiting our creativity so much, greed only goes so far! And if its because ps4 cant handle the amount, well, then their loss? Dont punish the rest because they play on a platform that cant support what we all want in the housing comunity. If their pc or net cant handle the load, then they will find out soon enough and learn to just stay away from those areas.

I refuse to believe that they can’t even increase the notable homes by 200-300 items. It makes no sense. Many other games can handle unlimited housing items there needs to be a way. Housing has been around for years now with no real improvements save for item grouping

There are a few discord channels dedicated to safe gold/crown conversions where u can get a middleman as well. World Crown Exchange is one of them https://discord.gg/ZRvAHF8.
Ofc this wont help for purchasing houses tho, since u cant gift them..

They could add vendors that charge a million gold for 'levels' of space increase similar to bank/bag increases. They could call them 'additions' or something similar. And they could sell these same 'additions' in the crown store and I would definitely buy a couple here and there when crowns are on discount.

The simple solution would be to instance interiors from exteriors. We already have loading screen on the door.

I bet people would be willing to wait, at least with the Estate style Housing.

I love the people assuming ZOS simply hasn't figured out how to monetize the solution, as if that's the only roadblock and not actual legitimate technical limitations.
