Battlegrounds: Capture the Relic

This is embarrassing: I've already checked the following website, but I just don't get it:

Once I capture (hold) the enemy relic, where do I have to deposit it to?

To your own. And if your own is gone, you can't place the enemy one.

The relic is a trap. The trick is to ignore it and just fight all the other players.

You take the relic back to your base, in front of your spawn in. If your own giant glowing monster head is still there you can do a successful capture. If not, then you have to either wait until the enemy captures it, or send your teammates after them so they drop it. If you have a giant brass maul you can go get the person holding your relic while carrying the relic you stole.
