XBox Client / Gradual Performance Degradation

pyd
pyd
Has anyone noticed a gradual performance degradation when switching between toons on the above platform? I find that since the last two patches I increasingly have to game terminate / Xbox reboot after around 4/5 toon switches, and can't remember this happening in the past.

Of course, the absne of (non-dev) memory leak monitoring tools on the above platform makes it rather tricky to investigate, might be worth checking whether the above behaviour occurs on PC as well.

Platform is Xbox One X.

I've certainly noticed it on my Xbox one x. Fortunately, doing a full shutdown and reboot of the Xbox seems to resolve the issue. I'm pretty much I'm doing one before every play session now.

Are you using an SSD? I play on an X and haven't experienced this issue.

I usually switch between all 11 of my characters to do daily crafting writs - though not every day. But, that's all most of them do, so maybe it's just not noticeable if I'm not out exploring or doing combat?

Getting some hard drops out of the game and then trying to log in get the account already logged in message.
My Favorite? waiting 30+mins in Que for Kaal and then getting hard booted upon accepting entry to the campaign.
Surprize.. Back to the beginning of the Que.

Ive gotten used to the ones while storming contested keeps, but this one. Its a pissah

Deleted your local ESO game cache? It helps with any weird anomalies.

    Proper restart / reset too.

It might help to be more specific with what you mean by "performance." Are you talking about frame rate dips? Textures not loading in? Ground that looks like low-resolution mud? What are you seeing?

On the whole, I've had a lot less issues since the recent patches than I've had in a while. That said, this game has had some performance issues since launch when you play it for extended periods of time and change zones a lot without restarting the game.

Playing on PC (and not a "real beast" either.... almost 5 years old now) and do not have that behavior at all. Then again, I do not play in US prime time (though I do play on my EU accounts in EU prime times); still I don't have the issue at all.

I log into every character who still needs riding skill up every day (that's not so many now, only 21); then I log into all the mains to craft (four - both accounts, both PC megaservers) and any other characters who need gold for buying the riding training. Then I log into whoever I want to play for whatever reason (generally at this point, my second account main at level 48, moving her to 50 before the next double XP event; or my last fishing girl), and spend the next 6 hours or so doing that.

I never have disconnects; I never have issues at all. I also never do pvp, dungeons, etc. YMMV.

Perhaps XBOX experiences a degradation like the Cyro memory leak?

Every time it happens, I am like, “crap - I didn’t set a timer to see if it’s consistent.”

This in addition to the random DCs from porting around NE & SE.

Thanks for the feedback all, interesting to see I am not the only one noticing this on the Xbox build.

As much as a cache clear / Xbox reboot appears to fix the issue, I am unsure this should be the end of the story - it points out to deeper flaws that may themselves affect overall game operation.

ZOS, though I understand you are insanely busy preparing the launch of Greymoor, can we get some resources to investigate the above before it becomes a turn-off for Xbox players? Happy to assist in any way I can.

Game performance is always unplayable for me on xbox. Works fine on PC though. Cyrodil is shameful on xbox as well, this event highlights it perfectly.

Been playing in Cyro a lot lately on Xbox X and haven't really had any issues. Some expected FPS drops in huge keep battles, but for the most part it's fine. SSD with a wired internet connection, of course.
