Why do these need to be valuable, though? What is wrong with allowing everyone to receive rewards for participating in an event? Where is the balance between rewarding players for their time/effort/work and preventing frustration and negativity related to the event and its arbitrary drop rates?
The majority of things in the game is easy to get. There’s also multiple rewards during this event that’s easily obtained. Why is it such an issue whenever they decide to either make the process slow or hard?
It’s also a game where players control the market so there’s going to be things that are more valuable than others. Players also shouldn’t simply get rewarded for pveing during a pvp event, sure Zos is aware of that happening.

11 bosses, no pages. 30 boxes, no notable loot.

slow or hard is one thing. rng based - is a whole other story. getting indrik evolution is slow. getting vet HM achievements is hard. trying to beat rng? that's just annoying and frustrating.
there is no reason for these motifs not to work at the very least the same way as acquiring arena gladiator outfit, for example. time consuming and involved, but guaranteed as long as you make an effort and take your time.

Maybe we dont' want to spend the whole event farming bosses when there's double AP out there?

The legion zero drops only happen during midyear mayhem, ie no matter the drop rate a lot of ppl will not be coming back until next year. So yes, I was expecting/hoping a much much much higher drop rate. And I live in the IC so don't get started

These drops are pretty on brand for pvp rewards , why is this a surprise? Whether it’s rng based or whatever they usually take a good amount of time or luck. Simply look at the history of rare rewards for pvp areas.

but there is a heck of a difference between rng and just taking a long time. the outfit I brought up IS a pvp reward, except you are not limited to 12 days a year to earn it and proofs you need to assemble it, are guaranteed. you just need... 50 of them. and I believe it was 50k ap to buy item that combines them. which is plenty of effort.

Really? And who's forcing you to do it? Anyways, the drop rate is what it is, so deal with your priorities.

Or they could make them drop more. Crazy thought. But they wont know unless we tell them, so yeah. I'll be farming these, instead of actually PVPing.. in the PVP event.
LonePirate wrote: »redlink1979 wrote: »Were you expecting 1 drop per 1 kill?! lol
A drop rate of 1 in 3 or maybe 1 in 5 would be very reasonable. Some players are reporting rates worse than 1 in 20 which is unacceptable.
I won't participate in this fiasco beyond my daily tickets. It is time that ESO looks at how events are done elsewhere.
If I participate in an event (participating doesn't mean grinding 6 hours a day for 2 weeks), I should get everything that it has to offer by the end of it.

Only if the events adds new items each time it comes up I would agree. If the event has the same items every year, than drop rate should be fairly low.

There’s rng pvp rewards and time consuming rewards. That’s what I’m saying. And there has been other rewards tied to events with low drop rates. Plus, even if it’s not tied to an event doesn’t mean it’ll come easily, isn’t the skin from Molag bal still one of the rarest cosmetics?
