How would the PvE community feel if we took over their loved trials not letting them in

i mean just restrict that festival to the new campaigns - We are currently in the middle of the 40 day and my guilds plays for the campaign - but the raid tonight probably wont happen as people are going to have to wait 2 or more hours to get in because some pve'er is doing a pve quest in a pvp zone.

Seems to be two no CP campaigns, both have the lock icon, though the new one did let me in. It's 5 PM thursday in Central Europe. Que numbers during the weekend will be massive.

LOL. Good try but not really comparable. The event attracts more to PvP in Cyrodiili as players go more often and stay longer.

Its just a comparison - I play pvp most days - and i am now over an hour waiting to get in which is unacceptable. I'm not blaiming the pve'ers i'm blaming ZOS for not thinking through the consequences of this. Similar to when they did the undaunted event with a bust group fiunder!

Not really. Zos normally does open additional campaigns for MYM. Comparing it to overloading the AF is more comparable even though that also includes BGs. You have no means to take over trials. Just saying.

I would think that most PvEers that just want the tickets would just pick one of the spun-up CP-enabled no-lock campaigns? At least that's what I did last year. No point in a PvEer that only wants tickets to load into a regular campaign. But, I guess if someone has never been to Cyrodiil before, they just pick the first one, since they don't really know what they're doing?

I'm sorry players are having issues getting in, but really, if ZOS didn't have event tickets available, I think you'd see a lot less PvEers trying to get in. I ignored this event until last year, when they added event tickets. Though I must say that I enjoyed doing the town dailies and seeing a little bit of Cyrodiil. Didn't enjoy the laborious way of getting around the zone, though.

You need rapid maneuvers (As long as you can mount because of being stuck in combat - A feature now for years) - Some nights it feels more like a running simulator

I'd say its more a case of people who sometimes PVP coming out in force for the extra AP and tickets (myself included). My characters are homed to the 30 day CP for the 20 or so hours a month I PVP and that won't change, but what will change is the amount of time I choose to spend in Cyrodiil. Any sane person who just wants the quests is going choose one of the other campaigns anyway.

PVE oriented players usually stick to the newer campaigns and the PVP players who are more sporadic all join up in their normal campaigns. So more often in the main campaigns, you are seeing an influx of PVP players who are joining up to PVP due to the event.

If on PC/NA all 7 day campaigns have plenty of room, for now. On PC/EU they are all full.

So Zos needs to open more 7 day campaigns for the event. They have done similar before. That will not mean the main campaigns will not have an extremely long wait time as many have refused to go to those campaigns previous opened for the event. That also may be the reason Zos has not done so this time.

I think you could be right about people just picking the first one. I know that's what I did the first couple of times I went to Cyrodiil, I wasn't sure what any of the stuff on the menu meant so I just picked the first one and thought I'd figure it out later and I've seen a few people in guild chat saying they're doing the same thing.

I've been encouraging anyone who doesn't know the difference or doesn't care which specific campaign they get into to check the queue times and pick the quickest one, but it has got me thinking maybe ZOS should have re-ordered the list so the campaigns most popular with PvPers are at the bottom.

    Reorder a list?

That’s too much dev time. We don’t have alphabetical lists in crafting stations.
It took five years for guild trader text search.

    Reorder a list? No ETA.

Please think about consequences of putting on dumb events like this without servers that can handle the increased load

@ZOS_GinaBruno. @ZOS_JessicaFolsom - Please speak to the relevant people to cancel this event until your servers can handle the load!!!!

Went to a PC-NA 7 day non-CP to do my scout run. Cyro screen popped up 6 times just to stop my horse, game crash to desktop. One more Cyro screen to stop my horse and then it ran fine for me to finish the quest to get my 3 tickets.

Decided not to worry about working on my fishing with all of that happening...lol

Yep hilarious, as predicted it popped then I had to go. In queue for almost 2 hours. Looks like I might just skip this event and forfeit the tickets and AP.

    Casual players stand no chance.

I agree with OP, it’s rude of ZOS not to separate out the Event campaigns from the ongoing ones. New players won’t know how much players in those campaigns value them and it will just *** everyone off.

Ongoing campaigns should have been arranged to end before MYM started and resume once MYM finished

Ya... I just jumped into one of the new campaigns, my main had a 40 minute wait. Not prime time for me though so the others weren't full.

Edit:. Annnnndddd crash to home screen...

On PC EU, on a DC character, I've been skipping between servers looking for one where the gate to the last skyshard I need is open or likely to open soon and the only ones I've had to wait more than a couple of minutes to get into are the two alliance locked campaigns, which are also the first two on the list.

I doubt PvEers are specifically choosing an alliance locked campaign to go in and do one quest then leave again (and if they were I would have thought the queue would cycle more quickly as people enter then leave a few minutes later) but I know allianced locked campaigns were asked for repeatedly for a very long time by PvPers so I can imagine they're very popular now they're available. On that basis it seems like most of the queue is the result of PvPers, and maybe simply the fact that they're at the top of the list so anyone just picking the first one they come to will go there.

So I definitely recommend anyone who doesn't need to play on one of the alliance locked campaigns picks a different one, at least while the event is going on.

Lol, 250 in the queue when I joined 15 mins later down to 229, at this rate I should be in campaign in approx. 2.75 HOURS! what a fun night I have ahead of me. only campaign not at full capacity on PC EU is below level 50 which would be lovely if I had any of my characters I play below that level!!

This hasn't been thought through fully on PC EU at all!

Once again MYM is a mess. Those of us who have committed to Home campaigns and playing the map, etc. are getting screwed for our commitment to PvP instead of rewarded. It's a great idea for an event, love the extra AP and ZOS rarely does anything nice for the PvP community BUT flooding the campaigns that we work so diligently on with PvE'ers makes no sense! Why not have the event but if people haven't homed the campaign, create a temporary one? It's frickin 10 am here and the queue is an hour long - on a week day!

Bad day to do that, wait until the later part of the event. Last two years the overflow campaigns turned into kind of PvE Cyrodil there the entire map was one color for one faction.
That is then you get skyshards and farm the town quests, not the first day.
First day is the day for zerging or ganking, just make sure you do one quest.

Now another issue you need the scroll and you have to enter cyrodil to get it.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
