In these last 5 years of pvping i've seen lots of bugs/glitches but this never happened to me. Did it happen to anyone else?

Yeah people try to get you stuck up in places like this via Volcanic Rune etc. Been about for a while I think.

I don't really think they did it on purpose, although i find it funny when there's 10-15 vs 1 and they still drop ultimates 😂

Don't be so sure, lately I've been getting hit with a lot of knock up in the air effects just as I go through a door. More than I ever remember.

Don't be so sure, lately I've been getting hit with a lot of knock up in the air effects just as I go through a door. More than I ever remember.

I got back to ESO after a fairly long break, so i didn't really know.

So you, what, got knocked up into a wall or ceiling?

I was attacking the guards at an enemy gate so I could get through and grab a skyshard when I got knocked into the wall of the gate. All I could do was run around inside the wall. I forget how I got out. If I didn't (or maybe couldn't) use "/unstuck" to get out, then I must have queued for a different campaign.

Before this skill was bugged, nobody used it. Now some people slot it to abuse it on purpose, no other reason to slot it because it still a fairly weak skill. It can be funny for trolling though.

If it's being deliberately used by some players in order to try to knock other players inside of walls and ceilings that they can't get out of, then I'd be of the opinion that they're exploiting something in the game that's behaving in a way it wasn't explicitly programmed to, in which case they should probably be reported for said exploit.

Unfortunately it has been a thing for the past few months at least....
Had it multiple times already when going into a resource tower.
Say 4 of us go into a tower while we have 10 chasing us and 1 enemy puts a rune before we go in, we all got stuck.
Also saw a full raid guild get stuck in the resource tower ceiling, RIP.
Unstuck doesn't work most of the times, because you will be stuck in combat so you have to wait quite a bit sometimes...

Edit: I think you can report those people who do it for exploiting a bug, indeed.

Meteor is fine to use of course (just unlucky if it hits at that time, can't report those players no), but some people place volcanic runes on the entrances of resource towers to intentionally place someone inside the wall. For example some guy sees a few enemies incoming who are nearing the tower, he goes in first, places rune at the entrance and watch them get stuck a few seconds later.

This can be considered an exploit.

I would think that you can if they are using that skill only for the express purpose of trying to exploit a bug in the game.

Actually, you can apparently report anybody for anything-- their character name, suspicion of being a bot, things they say in zone chat or whispers, etc.-- so, yeah, you can definitely report them.

But it's up to ZOS to investigate and decide if any action is called for.

Considering that ZOS reportedly banned players for wearing an outfit that was legitimately purchased in the Crown Store but which, when worn in certain situations, provided an unexpected "benefit" due to a bug, I would say that it's entirely possible that ZOS might deem the use of this particular exploit to be a bannable or actionable offense.

In fact, if this is indeed a deliberate exploitation of a bug for the express purpose of attaining some unintended benefit or otherwise causing grief to other players, then from what I've read about the TOS when it's been discussed in this forum, the players who become aware of such an exploitable bug are duty-bound to report it to ZOS, right?

Well if it happens again and in an obvious situation i guess i'll report it, normally i don't like to report people unless i'm 100% sure they are cheating/exploiting.

Jk, I haven’t seen people use the ultimate for that purpose, I have seen double the use of volcanic rune though. Volcanic rune and time stops galore these days.

You are correct that the case on the video was not on purpose. They just got lucky you ran into an area with a low ceiling. But it has been used purposely for quite a while. Usually with a rune.
