Titanborn Strength is ridiculous... Pair with Ancient Dragonguard and win!

Titanborn Strength – Medium Armor
2 – Adds 1487 Physical Penetration
3 – Adds 129 Weapon Damage
4 – Adds 1096 Maximum Stamina
5 – Adds 110 Weapon Damage and 1240 Physical Penetration. This bonus doubles to 220 Weapon Damage and 2480 Physical Penetration when you are under 75% Health. This bonus quadruples to 440 Weapon Damage and 4960 Physical Penetration when you are under 50% Health.

Ancient Dragonguard-craftable
2- 1206 max health
3 - 129 weapon and spell dmg
4 - 833 weapon and spell crit
5 - Gain 300 weapon and spell dmg above 50% health, and 3460 spell and physical resist below 50% health

I mean WOW... Craft Ancient Dragonguard in heavy and wear Titanborn weapons and jewellery. Use recovery glyphs and mundus, with 2p medium for stam regen and not a problem. Not like pvp heavy armour builds aren't already strong.

But you have to be under 75% health for it to be anywhere near strong.

This set will work best on a gank build, and that is about it, because you cannot reliably fight a sustained fight at that low health, since you are pretty much in execute range across the board.

Forums: There are no good stamina medium armor damage sets
ZOS: Adds good medium armor sets
    Forums: LOSES THEIR MINDS

Are you kidding me? How exactly is this over powered? For it to be better than NMA or Fury, you will need to capable of fighting at low health, something I can guarantee 95% players can't do. The good players who can should reap the rewards. That is how risk vs reward works. I am sorry to say this but L2P.

To put that in perspective, under 75% means you have to be under 6.25K health on a 25K health build. Which just isn't going to keep you alive at all.

75% of 25k would be 18.75k. It's under 50% (12.5k) that you get the full damage. 6.25k is 25% of your health (if full health is 25k).

That set does sound fun. A true Berserker's set. I personally wouldn't pair it with dragonguard though.

No you misunderstood, under 50% health procs the final buff (12.5k health for 25k health pvp build), 75% health is double and 100% is weakest. Use minor and major protection and block to avoid death at low health, heal when you must.

Ah, my bad there, it's too early for math.

So not execute but still detrimental to keep your health below 50% to be effective.

I would still only use it for a gank from stealth though, at which point it could provide a solid set of opening stats, but if you fail the gank and cannot escape you won't have the power or resources to brawl afterwards.

Yeah let there be no sets rewarding skillful play, just nerf everything so we'll get another useless piece on live again. Forums need to stop sometimes.

True this is not the best set up, but lots of dmg, crit and pen, with a side of resistances. Stam users get more dmg from weapon dmg than max stam? Stam skills costs are low, heavy armour would give a lot of resistances and heal bonus for when you need it. Heavy armour gives extra health per piece

Stam necro bone col: 30k health on top of 25k = OP use at 27.5k health. Wear bloodspawn too (yeah not an OP set)

It'll be OP on stam necro bone goliath, 20 second transformation - enough for bursting people.
Pair with hulking draugr for stam instead etc. Stam sets are good though?

Transforming heals enough to put you over the 75% threshold. Unless they changed that since I deleted my necro.

]I will update OP to make it easier to read all the problems with these sets. Seems I can't edit 1st post? Will do it here.

    1) penetration - Titanborn gives 7k penetration. Physical resistances are hard to get up for light and medium armour, and resistances were nerfed? It will be like hitting armourless players. This is this part of the issue with templars atm.

    2) Down sides - the 2 sets mentioned in the 1st message show, you can avoid the down side of dmg on the 5p of Titanborn.

    3) Heavy armour in pvp and dmg - Heavy armour shouldn't have access to dmg sets imo, much less ones with no procs and cool downs. I though new moons was silly being a craftable for heavy armour.

The devs didn't want sorcs being tanky dps with great heals but give heavy armour (the most defensive armour type with best resistances and healing buffs, access to 7k penetration and huge dmg? I thought they wanted to move away from tanky cannons? However they keep having craftable sets and dungeon sets give HA players huge dps. Why play medium anymore.

    3) Stam necros will love this - 27k health in BONE GOLIATH with give players full 5p for 20 seconds, pair with Dragonguard for resistance and or a crit set to be op. Most necros run 2 grave lord abilities (atro and blast bones to gurantee easy kills in execute range with executioner) Can pair with New moons too *sigh*

How to fix without nerfs to set?

    1) Just have body pieces for this 1 set (no jewellery or weapons - then you can leave as is 🙂) PLEASE CHOOSE THIS

    2) increases resistances people get per CP point and/or base.

    3) Give heavy armour a dps nerf, like the healing recieved buff it gets. (Only when you wear 5p) HA for tanking and medium and light for dps. Dmg is nerfed by 50% when in 5 heavy for example.

Heavy armour should be for pure healers and tanks imo.

Bone goliath makes this a much bigger issue 😐

Yeah I hate that heavy armour (HA) gets dps sets, when they didn't want tanky dps. Sorcs soloing dungeons and whatnot was not wanted by devs though? I only recently got my forum account back. But yes, HA new moons is something I'd like changed in the future.

Ever since dragonhold pvp has been frustrating with high pen classes (templars worst offenders)

    @Lemonsinspace

The best you can do is focus on your own playstyle and how to improve it. They will not and should not delete playstyles.

Can you imagine them making every heavy armor damage set body piece worthless because wearing heavy armor debuffs your damage done? No, it's not reasonable, and there's no reason for it.

This set sounds fun and exciting to use. From a certain point of view, the most highly skilled players can maximize their damage by running around constantly under 50% health. That's something new and interesting, isn't it?

the introduction of a number of crafted sets lately that give access to high weapon damage are definitely making heavy armor a consideration.

I´d use Titanborn on 5medium parts most likely, with another crafted 5p set on front burst bar and a defensive 2p back bar.. the other crafted set would not be Ancient Dragonguard though.
