Range finding in ESO

Robin_the_Noble
Hullo all!

I've been wondering if we could have some range finding tools in ESO? Either from devs or from our outstanding addon creators! *looking at you Dolgubon*. I've heard from some friends that have been playing since beta that there was, apparently, at one point a small indication next to your target that would tell you how far your target is but it's long gone and some even speculated that the addon idea wouldn't work because devs actually gotten rid of tools or codes or something that would allow an addon creator to determine the distance to your target(s). Does that statement have any validity? Or is there something out there already that I'm too much of a dummy to find? Any insight at all would be highly appreciated! @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_KaiSchober

There was an addon at one point that told you the range to the target. I have not used it in a long time but if people are telling you it no longer works then Zos probably had a reason to remove what it needs from the API.

An addon creator would probably know specifically what happened if it truly no longer works.

This would greatly aid the cheats who build for desynch sniping.
