Vampire rework - will they be class agnostic?

I think the only detail we've been given re the new skills and feeding is that they'll be more visceral.

My question is, will they still look like an extension of nightblade?

I've always regarded the existing abilities as nightblade plus. Visually being all black and red they're the best class fit and functionally, drain essence also fills a hole in the nightblade arsenal by providing a ranged (albeit only mid) non-finisher single target damage (not DOT) ability. Mist form plugs another hole - mega damage evasion.

From the other end, nightblade and sorcerer (courtesy of the daedric connection) have been the best class fit lore wise. Now necros too. But in terms of abilities you'd expect a vampire to have, nightblade with invisibility, life drains, healing using health as resource etc. still looks comfortably ahead. Definitely when taking into account visuals.

I think they are meaning this the meaning of the word is this I just looked it up.
relating to deep inward feelings rather than to the intellect.
visceral. When something's visceral, you feel it in your guts. A visceral feeling is intuitive — there might not be a rational explanation, but you feel that you know what's best, like your visceral reaction against egg salad.
So that is what it means. I think they are referring to you will actually feel like a vampire.
It won't be some passive skill line that just gives you a few benefits. It will be more active.

The vampire line in ESO has always been class agnostic. Any perception that they are an extension of a NB is a personal interpretation.

I personally have always seen Magblade as a "blood mage" type class. I imagine that the vampire skill aesthetics will remain similar, considering the obvious blood theme of vampires.
Struggling to find a new class to call home. Please send help.

You've gone for the wrong one. Visceral in this context means bloody.
    adjective
    1.
    relating to the viscera.
    "the visceral nervous system"
    2.
relating to deep inward feelings rather than to the intellect.
"the voters' visceral fear of change"

They gave an example of I think the feeding animation being changed to biting into a target's neck and making a bloody mess of it. Rather than waving your arms at them from a distance like the current version.

If all the new vampire skills are similarly physical or not black / red magic effects, then they might be class agnostic.

Same, but I'm not sure if they'll stick with that.

The game has long favoured nightblades in this and a few other respects, eg. thieving, assassination and associated rewards. But I don't think that has been good for the game - in terms of keeping and growing the playerbase - and they might have realised that.

I'm sure nightblade will continue to be a good bloodmage type fit for vamps regardless of new vamp skills, but it's also possible that their new design will be a better fit for any class. Fingers crossed.

We won't know the exact details of the skill line rework until April, @Nerouyn.

Until then, be sure to re-read this post which will answer the subject line of your forums thread:

There seems to an echo in here.

But only for nonsense not worth replying to.

    How curious.

In this context, visceral refers to the viscera -- the internal contents of the body.
A visceral attack is a violent ripping open of the body.

Maybe you should plainly state what point you want to get across. Your paragraphs are a bit scattered, and word choice could be chosen without having the readers use a dictionary.
