Q2 Q4 DLC Speculation 2021

Everyone loves to guess what's coming next once we learn everything that's currently on the way.
2020
Q1 dungeons
Q2 Skymoor
Q3 dungeons
Q4 reachland

2021
Q1 dungeon
Q2 ?$?$
Q3 dungeons
Q4 ?$?$

Now for speculations sake. Where do people think we are going for Q2 and Q4 of 2021?

I read alot of talk about Hammerfell, Blackmarsh, non PvP areas of cyrodiil, the Telvanni Coast.

But I am daydreaming of some zones that I'm not hearing anyone guess or speculate and discuss.

Falinesti- The Walking Tree City sequestered away by a khajiiti trickster god. Make it its own zone like the other aurbis zones. Introduce the Imga, Centaurs. Have the tree actually move around the zone !!!!

Pyandonea, Thras- Sea elf, sload. Naval aspects. Mermaids coral creatures and yahgra. Orgnum, sea monsters, pirates. Introduce weather/water magic skill line

ANY REALM OF OBLIVION

Shivering Isles- Hopefully self explanitory, mania dementia, sheo, cheese, hogbarf silfulericious Manmohan opoora deep. Drugs mushrooms psychedelics.
Might be controversial but i remember two specific drugs in the isle. Would be cool to add a new scope of ingredients and potion effects.

Just a few random ideas.

Its always been my personal hope that we get a Bosmer dlc. I really hope they introduce the Walking City some day. How else will we get wood elf motifs, furniture, lore quests and momentos?

What out of the box guesses do you all have?

I know leaving the continent is not a popular thought. We have never seen atmora, pyandonea, akavir, thras. And if im honest I doubt we ever will. But its fun to hope and brainstorm about it.

I am on the other hand hopeful for Falinesti. For what else do I have but hope!

The point is that they are going to be so busy teasing and hinting at content for this year, that figuring out what is going to happen next year is like throwing darts at the map. Later in the year, we will start to see patterns.

It's Greymoor, and the Q1 dungeon pack is called Harrowstorm.

It's also obvious these immediate "prediction" threads aren't legit speculation but just what the OP wants personally.

The dev’s said all the next few years will involve one province/theme. So if it’s black marsh it’s all black marsh. If it’s hammerfell it’s all hammerfell for the chapter and dlc.

Now where in black marsh do I expect them to go? Black Marsh is absolutely huge and I expect it could take 2.5-3 years of content spread out to do it all. I am actually not expecting central black marsh it’s too mysterious and I think they want to save it for the big grand finale for Argonians and keep us hooked. I think we’ll see the western parts of black marsh. When we get to it. Split into two parts for the year. Then at some future year I see them doing one part of the east and central murkmire. Then finally when we have little left to do I see the last part being filled in with a mixed year of content.

Well as for the mildly aggressive response. I was being lightly humorous with the dlc names.

And ya no duh I would post things i want to see and talk about in the games future. Is that not the point of the thread i made?

So true. However people like to go through baseless speculation to pass the time.

Also, thought the chapter was called Greymoor when Zos did the big reveal. Is it actually called Skymoor?

They got all the love in the base game. I don’t think there’s anywhere substantial to go in High Rock.

It's perhaps telling that unlike Morrowind, Summerset, and Elsweyr, they didn't take the province as the Chapter name this time. I'm just penciling in "Skyrim 2: Electric Boogaloo" until the official 2021 reveal.

Aah see thats the same dilemma with the woodelves. Is that got so many zones with the base game that we will never see dlc content surrounding them now! Same with bretons.

But dlc content about different races comes with so much more then just a zone. Lore, costumes, mounts, pets, accessories, sets, momentos.

So how will we ever see breton and bosmer content. Plus at this point base game zones are old. I wanna see nice new quality zonework done for those two races.

And as a random thing i would like to point out

This is a forum. You dont have to comment. Or read this. Yet you still find the nerve to bash wanting to discuss future content. Cause why? Its in the future? Speculation? What in your brain prevents you from pondering years ahead? And why so against it? What harm does it cause you??

And id like to point out. That a vampire lord model was on the pts a long time ago. As well as skyrim references as far back as summerset! Which is well over a year old. Almost 2 years ago they had some eastereggs placed. Whos to say there isnt some about 2021 and its dlc in the game already that we havent guessed at yet!?!?!

So its really not a hard leap to want to talk about a year or two ahead in the future.

And if you dont wanna contribute to positive conversation then just leave the page and live your life without impeding on mine.

AND I WAS JUST JOKING CALLING IT SKYMOOR AND REACHLAND GEEZ.

It was a shoutout to the fact that this is the first chapter not naming it after the region its set in.

Bleh this crowd. I just wanted to get excited and theorize and brainstorm with people who also play the game. Ive not got anyone I talk to in game or real life about it.
Now im thinkin "do i really care to talk about it with y'all? Obviously they dont wanna use imagination or forethought."

generic zone DLC marketed as an expac, more paywalled content and nerfs for everything not part of the DLC, generic plotline with a "twist"

The story can be written as nice as you like, but if it's the same old story twenty different times,I'm not able to feel any excitement about it, especially when there's nothing actually new to look forward to

I actually sort of like the "familiar" name of "Skymoor" Yes, it is Greymoor, but if "Skymoor" does not turn into some derogatory term that the haters use to tear down the Chapter, I might use it in the future. So, I guess this will probably be the last time I use it.

We have seen with Greymoor and Elsweyr that ZOS can make an entire year out of a relatively small area of the Tamriel map. That really opens up the prospects for 2021. Given that central Skyrim from Dawnstar and Winterhold down to Falkreath is not covered by the 2020 Chapter, I would not rule that out.

The one thing about the speculation for next year that is valid is that ZOS already knows what is in store for 2021. I will say that ZOS needs to do "worse" on the hints for next year. I think their audience suffered for Greymoor because everyone already knew the big picture. It was too easy to guess. Someone even knew the details prior to the event and posted it here. The only reason to tune in was to get the details, and that is easier to consume in the post-event articles and discussion. They also need to do something about the leaks. For a company that uses NDAs and super top secrecy, they seem to leak a lot.

I expect that the 4Q 2020 DLC will be the area south of Dragon Bridge down to Markarth, probably including the city and areas to the south towards Bangkorai. This would finish out western Skyrim. Name will have to be datamined, but it will be Reach related.

In TES5, there is sort of a natural break there with the mountains and rivers that will allow them to develop an area that would be inaccessible in Greymoor but possible to get to with a DLC. Not that terrain is a problem for ZOS. If they need a mountain, they will add a mountain.

On the south side, maybe they could link it up to the road in Bangkorai, north of Troll's Toothpick. Maybe even connect to Wrothgar by adjusting the terrain near Rkindaleft.

Although, after Southern Elsweyr, there is no reason that it has to connect to anything. Not even Skyrim. They could just plop down a zone surrounded by impassible mountains, not even have the borders line up, and make us wayshrine in. It was cool that you could walk to Northern Elsweyr. I miss that in Southern Elsweyr.

edit: just saw what topic this is in, so offtopic comment above.

Isn't 2021 the 15th anniversary of Oblivion? So non-pvp parts of Cyrodiil? Or they cave and finally add pvp stuff to Cyrodiil or make new pvp areas in addition to it?

Yes. March 20, 2006 - March 20, 2021. I had considered an Oblivion tie-in, but with ESO already including massive parts of that game, the only place to go is Deadlands or the various outskirts of Cyrodiil not already covered.

Who knows. Maybe 2021 is the year they close down the Three Banners War and all the Cyrodiil campaigns and turn it into a massive PVE area.

Balfiera Island is still over there! Direnni tower, elves + bretons. Sounds really promising, as well as Falinesti.
