New expansion re-vamping vamps, what happens to vampire players that don't have the new expansion?

I'm sure most of us will be picking up the expansion, but some players certainly aren't in that position for whatever reason. So I wonder, with previous new lines from expansions locked out from players like psijic and jewelry crafting and new classes like warden and necro kept locked away. What happens to Vampire players that don't buy the expansion?

I'm assuming the antiquities line is what will be locked away and not vampires, but might be good to clear it up as I've already seen several friends asking about this? Will the vampire rework just be considering part of the base game?

Obviously every vampire player will be affected..
Not that hard to give you an answer on this.

Psiijic, warden, necro was new content, not a rework of existing content.

They don't have to state it. It would take more work to limit nonpurchasers than it would to just edit the skill line.

    Don't worry you are fine.

You will have the old skill line, the Greymore ones the new one, remember Harkons words when he is about to share his vampirism while are a vampire: "You contracted a disease, perhaps, but you are no true vampire. Accept my gift and I promise that you will learn the difference. Refuse me, and I will banish you from this castle. I will spare your life this once, but after that, you are prey."

So yea, you will be a prey.

Seems like more players are just quick to jump on the assumption bandwagon and don't read.

"I'm fine?" I already bought the expansion so I know I'm fine.

I've had friends asking if anything was said, I already answered my assumption to them. So was asking if I missed an actual statement during everything from ZoS in the show or aftershow.

And GalexPK pretty much shows my point. So the existing skill line is staying? And you have to get re-infection by this new strain and it will be cut off from those that don't have expansion?

Or is it like the first two guys who just said it's all getting reworked?

I would expect as well that all vampires get that rework and not just all who have the chapter.

Because every player has access to all skilllines automatically (exceptions are of course class-specific-skills like Necro and Warden or DLC-based-skills). Vampire is not a skilllinie where you need to buy a DLC or chapter for. ;)

I would EXPECT it as well. But I'm hoping ZoS will just flat out tell us.

GalexPK's statement shows there is some confusion out there imo. Though it doesn't make sense to leave the old skill line around if they wanted to get rid of the reason to take it just for the couple passives, so I ASSUMED it was going to be a full rework applied to everyone.

But I was asked if it was said or if I assumed it. Me and everyone that has answered is assuming, so I was hoping ZoS would just say: "It's XX." and be done with it.

OK, someone on discord gave me an answer at least, from the website:

Updates and quality-of-life improvements including a rework of the Vampire Skill Line (free for all ESO players)

Yeah i'm sure vampires will turn out to be more like necros visual skill wise like with the neon/Halloween flashy skills or just some other watered down disappointment. I think vampires will turn out nothing like the trailer vamp and it will probably will be just as underwhelming.

I wish visually they would change the over the top white neon skin that looks more like zombie skin than vampire for stage 4 and do away with the Meth/Cocaine addict that is stage 1 to 3 . They may also end up introducing more bugs to the game so there is also that to look forward to.

I don't have any hopes on vampires being redone to the point were they actually function like actual vampires TES lore wise. Personally I'm just going to wait before purchasing anymore content and see what it turns out be like.

BTW if the death hound mini was pet skin for Sorcs, Warden and Necros then I would probably consider buying it since they serve no purpose....meh...why should I bother.

    Incorrect.

They stated that the vampire quest will be updated as well. We will still be children of Lamae Bal. Harkon was a servant of Molag Bal and it makes little to no sense since we are the ones who foiled Molag Bals plan.

Plus Lamae Bal is far older, more powerful, and the first born. Harkon can't compare to her power.

Vampire changes will be a change to the skill line. It will change for everyone.
